From the hot concrete, the peeling wall, the paint faded by the sun, the wire crossing the sky like an improvised line on the city's horizon.
Olá amigos da Alien Art #Hive!... Ultimamente, minhas artes têm nascido do chão que eu piso. Elas não surgem de um lugar distante ou imaginário, elas vêm da rua. Do concreto quente, do muro descascado, da tinta desbotada pelo sol, do fio atravessando o céu como um risco improvisado no horizonte da cidade.

I've felt an increasing need to express this urban side that runs through me. It's not just aesthetics, it's identity. It's Brazil. It's the scenery I see when I leave home, when I'm walking in a hurry, when I stop to observe a detail that many people ignore. The simple facade of a house, the wall marked by time, the rusty gate, the lamppost full of overlapping posters, layers and more layers of stories pasted one on top of the other.
Tenho sentido uma necessidade cada vez maior de expressar esse lado urbano que me atravessa. Não é apenas estética, é identidade. É Brasil. É o cenário que vejo quando saio de casa, quando ando apressado, quando paro para observar um detalhe que muita gente ignora. A fachada simples de uma casa, a parede marcada pelo tempo, o portão enferrujado, o poste cheio de cartazes sobrepostos, camadas e mais camadas de histórias coladas umas sobre as outras.

My art has sought this raw truth. Not that romanticized version of the city, but the city as it is: alive, intense, sometimes chaotic, sometimes silent. The Brazilian aesthetic that inspires me isn't in postcards, but in everyday life. It's in the mix of improbable colors, in the improvised typography of signs, in the creative makeshift solutions that inventively solve problems. There's a genuine beauty in all of this, a beauty that can only be seen by those who slow down their gaze.
Minha arte tem buscado essa verdade crua. Não aquela versão romantizada da cidade, mas a cidade como ela é, viva, intensa, às vezes caótica, às vezes silenciosa. A estética brasileira que me inspira não está nos cartões postais, mas no cotidiano. Está na mistura de cores improváveis, na tipografia improvisada das placas, na gambiarra criativa que resolve problemas com inventividade. Existe uma beleza genuína nisso tudo, uma beleza que só enxerga quem desacelera o olhar.
Creating has been a process of emotional documentation. I don't just reproduce scenes, I translate sensations. Each piece of art carries a bit of what I felt while walking through those streets. It carries the heat of the asphalt, the distant noise of traffic, the conversation echoing on the sidewalk, the constant movement that never ceases. It's as if I'm freezing small fragments of the city before they disappear.
Criar tem sido um processo de documentação emocional. Eu não apenas reproduzo cenários, eu traduzo sensações. Cada arte carrega um pouco do que senti ao atravessar aquelas ruas. Carrega o calor do asfalto, o barulho distante do trânsito, a conversa ecoando na calçada, o movimento constante que nunca cessa. É como se eu estivesse congelando pequenos fragmentos da cidade antes que eles desapareçam.

There's also a question of belonging. When I bring these urban elements into my creations, I'm affirming where I come from. I'm saying that the peripheral, popular, Brazilian aesthetic is rich, powerful, and deserves to be seen as art. What many consider common, I see as extraordinary. What seems banal, to me is a symbol of resistance, of history, of culture. Lately, I've noticed that my art is denser, more atmospheric. Perhaps because I'm more attentive. Perhaps because I'm understanding that the street isn't just a backdrop, it's the main character. It speaks, it shouts, it whispers. And I'm there, observing, absorbing, and transforming all of that into an image.
Existe também uma questão de pertencimento. Quando trago esses elementos urbanos para minhas criações, estou afirmando de onde eu venho. Estou dizendo que a estética periférica, popular, brasileira, é rica, é potente e merece ser vista como arte. O que muitos consideram comum, eu enxergo como extraordinário. O que parece banal, para mim é símbolo de resistência, de história, de cultura. Ultimamente, tenho percebido que minhas artes estão mais densas, mais carregadas de atmosfera. Talvez porque eu esteja mais atento. Talvez porque eu esteja entendendo que a rua não é apenas cenário, ela é personagem principal. Ela fala, ela grita, ela sussurra. E eu estou ali, observando, absorvendo e transformando tudo isso em imagem.
