Hello again Hive! and heeellooo for the first time Alien Art! this is Hadley4, your artist who uploads illustrations once a year or lent.
Today, I want to show you an illustration that I honestly feel is not finished yet, everything that is in my head I haven't poured over this scene yet, but I don't want to ruin it just by painting in haste, so this time, I want you, my beloved viewer and reader, to be the one to judge this piece and express in the comments what it makes you feel or think.

Tools:
- Gaomon S620
- Photoshop
- Brushes courtesy of Imad Awan: Download here

-Step 1:
As usual I started sketching what was in my head, the sketch before this one, showed a cup full of fish where the water was spilling out and the base was the trunk of the tree, but I decided to make a crystal ball to experiment a little bit on the fly.

-Step 2:
In a new layer under the sketches, I filled each of the main shapes in different layers to facilitate the detailing of the scene elements, progressively getting rid of the guide lines.

-Step 3:
As for the color, I wanted to go with a pastel palette, so I had to lighten the gray color of the girl's body, as it was too dark for the shade I wanted to achieve. Since I had each element in a different layer, assigning colors to the ground and the tree was very easy, just by pressing Ctrl+B you can change the gray to any tone you want in a few seconds.

-Step 4:
But I was still not satisfied with the color palette I had, I felt that there was no contrast or highlight between them, in short my colors were very boring, so I resorted to the gradient maps to try new shades, especially within the crystal sphere, right now you only see a color test, but I did about three or four more tests with different combinations in each gradient map.

-Step 5:
And here you can see the final color test, at this point I focused more on the color palette than on the elements inside the sphere since I used an oil brush and this helped me to capture more graphically the chaos that lives inside the girl's thoughts, but also her mind flows to her environment, blurring her reality.

I will leave you a GIF with the whole process on it, so you can better appreciate the illustration process.
Tell me in the comments that you imagine when you see this illustration.
See you in a future post!
