Hi Hiveians! Have you ever thought you make two drawings in one? Well, that's what I learned today using the 3D film effect! (Or 3D glasses). Today I'd like to show you how this can happen and make amazing artwork in an alien way! :D
This artwork took me about 3 days, including the fact that it's actually two illustrations of the happy side and the sad side. π I don't really have 3d glasses, but I do have the blue and red lenses so it still gives the effect. I started drawing the sad side in "Carmine Red" since the opposite colored lense of that drawing will show the effect! Blue is typically the color of sadness.
I'd also like to warmly thank for giving me inspiration on vixens. I didn't know before what a vixen was, researching it, it was also an 80's female rock band. π With the definition from Google, it's a female fox or a woman regarded as a fox. Which is what gave me the idea on what to illustrate. Thanks Yuna! :)
I've never tried this before, but before making this illustration, I was testing the effect about 50 times haha. Instead of calling this a 3d film illustration, it is better known as an "Anaglyph". When it did work, I thought it turned out pretty cool, what do you think?
Drawing the fingers in her hair was something different for me. Illustrating the happy one on top of sadness was a little difficult for not getting distracted by the lower layer. I know I could've just woren a lense, but I thought that would look dorky. π Thankfully it looks nice.
What do you do when you're sad or happy?
Here's what the drawing looks like without the effect:
Four eyes.. whoah! :D
On emotions I prefer happiness, what do you prefer on the art style-wise? Feel free to tell me in the comments below! I'm happy to see your opinions! βοΈβοΈ
Thank you for viewing this post, I hope you enjoyed it and maybe this can even teach your kids something about 3D movies! ;)
Enjoy the rest of your day!
