How is everybody? 😁
For this week, I chose Sniping Narwhal.🤩 This animal amazed me because it is the closest animal to the mythical unicorn. I went to the rabbit hole googling narwhal. Scientists suggest that the "horn" is not a horn, but teeth. 😁 Amazing, huh?
Art Process
I thought of turning this card into a children's illustration style. I observed that this style is composed of soft shadowing, bright colors, and simple expressions. I chose shades of blue for the base color. I chose a smiling expression for this guy opposite to the original card.
Next is clipping a layer above the base color to add the details. I used a solid pencil brush to do the patches and dots. I added a soft shadowing on the bottom part of the body. Next, I chose a baby blue background with a white gradient on top. On another layer, I chose another shade of blue for the coral designs at the back. Repeat the process for the second coral design layer.
Final Art
To break the monotonous blue shades, I added another layer on top to put white swirls, dots, and sparkles. The white detail makes the art more interesting. A very simple drawing for tonight. 😌
