Hello, hello! I have the time this morning to squeeze in an entry for this week. Took me more time to watch YT videos than the actual drawing time, haha. I get distracted every time. 😅 Who are your favorite YouTubers? I like MrBeast, PewDiePie, and Mark Rober to name some. Now you can guess my age hahaha~
Anyway~
For this week, I chose Vruz! A little goblin looter. 😁
Art Process
First I have to sketch the pose of the card. I imagine Vruz is happy that he looted a hefty amount of gold coins. I thought he was a gnome, but as I recall, gnomes have these funny hats. So I suppose he is a goblin (???). I then add another layer to make the lineart.
The base colors are color picked from the original card and then adjusted the saturation. I made the coin in a separate layer by combining two circles. To save time, I copy and paste my first coin and position them. I modify some so that it does not look super the same all throughout. After the base color, I chose a darker shade and clip it to the base layer.
I clip another layer on the base layer for a darker shade of green. I shade them in most corners like on the ears, eyes, and some parts of the body. Same as to the loot bag, I added a darker shade of brown.
For the shading on the body and loot bag, I made another layer on top of the base color of the coins. I first shade the darkest orange and set on multiply. Added another layer on top for other shades of orange. I airbrushed a glow of yellow on top.
Final Art
The final touches are the added details and the background. I added some diamond sparks by using an edge pen. I put all the layers in one folder, copy and paste, and then merge them to have one layer. I enlarged the layer and position it to the back. I adjusted the opacity to 20 percent.
Tadaaa finished art! 💰🪙🪙🪙
