Hi all, I spent sometime planning this post for your community and finally got into sharing my space city works done with blender 3D.
This journey has started long ago, as i first experienced using the city generator by Curtis Holt, a great add-on for blender that makes it a matter of minutes to create a whole city, generated using models of buildings, check this link for info on how to use it for free.
Then the idea of the space city came out of the work of a VFX artist from Stockholm, Taumich whose online tutorial I fixed to work with the new lighter render engine of the last blender version. Rendering the below picture i was starting to wonder if building a generator for this kind space cities would have been a good idea.
I still haven't created the generator, but hey here is the real news of this article, I just got a cyberpunk blog on tumblr with thousands of followers from a friend and now i wonder if building this new generator may help me keeping that blog updated on the first months, until i can find some really good artist to share a very cyberpunk mission and collaborate with.
May some of you be interested?
Still setting all the environment up so, open to new ideas in the comments!
Last but not least, i wanna let you know that the cover image of this post is another study I made for the generator, using JSplacement as explained in this video.
And that my CG students also made some study on the atlantis city for me, like this one below:
Next step will be focusing on the Curtis Holt Tutorials about how to create a python add-on for blender and try the generator myself in the new blog, after testing the code will be available on github.
PS: the cover image was built to be minted and sold on nftshowroom, I'll soon post the link to buy it, once it'll be finished with a little spaceship i wanna put on the side.. stay tuned with my blog if you wanna invest your hives on my art!
