Hello #Hive alien friends, hello mothership and everyone else here... I keep taking my pictures and running them through my tormented head (and Photoshop of course) until they look how I feel they should look in an alternate universe ... So this is my post for today... "Apocalypse"... 👽
Hola amigos alienígenas en #Hive, hola nave nodriza y demás gente aquí... Yo sigo tomando mis fotografías y haciéndolas pasar a través de mi atormentada cabeza (y Photoshop, claro está) hasta hacerlas ver como siento que deberían verse en un universo alterno... Así que este es mi post para hoy... "Apocalipsis"... 👽
⬆ "Apocalypse" is a work where I reflect a very personal vision of a post-disaster scene, a kind of abyss where hot lava falls, while the horizon seems to burn and succumb to some kind of catastrophe that has accelerated the end of time ... And it all occurred to me taking a photograph of a sunrise!... Well, if you like to know the process step by step, it will be described below... 😵💫
"Apocalipsis" es una obra en donde reflejo una visión muy personal de una escena post-desastre, una especie de abismo por donde cae lava ardiente, mientras el horizonte parece arder y sucumbir a algún tipo de hecatombe que haya acelerado el fin de los tiempos... ¡Y todo se me ocurrió haciendo una fotografía de un amanecer!... ⬆ All started with a nice (although frankly boring) photo of the sunrise seen from the mountains near my home... Right when I looked at it through the viewfinder a damn shrunken and dying planet came to my mind!...
Todo comenzó con una bonita (aunque francamente aburrida) foto del amanecer visto desde las montañas cercanas a mi hogar... ¡Justo al mirarla por el visor se me vino a la mente un condenado planeta achicharrado y moribundo!...
⬆ So I sat down at my PC and set about creating a cataclysm on that image... Although at first, using the blending, warping and other brushes... I almost ended up plagiarizing Munch's style!... Didn't I? Do you think?... Holy heavens!...
Entonces me senté en mi PC y me dispuse a generar un cataclismo en esa imagen... Aunque al principio, usando las brochas de licuado , deformación y otras...¡Casi que termino plagiando el estilo de Munch!... ¿No les parece?... ¡Santos cielos!...
⬆ I used round splatter brushes to generate some bright yellow dots and strokes... I needed hot lava there!... So I continued morphing with the blender tools, pinwheels and other those yellow dots, also generated a layer with "oil painting simulation filter" at that stage. 🎨
Usé pinceles redondos de salpicado para generar algunos puntos y trazos amarillo intenso... ¡Necesitaba lava ardiente allí!... Así que seguí transformado con las herramientas de licuado, molinetes y otras esos puntos amarillos, también generé una capa con "simulación de pintura al oleo" en esa fase. 🎨
⬆ Later I drew lines in warm colors around the center of the image to distort it using zoom filter blur... Additionally I distorted one by one the resulting bands of lines at the edges of the image... This (according to me) provides a certain effect like "Everything went to hell because of something that happened"! 😂
Posteriormente dibujé lineas en colores cálidos alrededor del centro de la imagen para distorsionar esta usando el filtro de zoom difuminado... Adicionalmente distorsioné una por una las bandas de lineas resultantes en los bordes de la imagen... ¡Esto (según yo) provee cierto efecto de "Todo se fue al carajo debido a algo que pasó"! 😂
⬆ To increase the "chasm effect" I continued altering the layers, adjusting lights and contrasts and did a blend with a primary phase layer where the distortion was less... I do this to generate "visual coherence" but at the same time make the image "floating over this layer altered to the extreme"... The abstraction then is positioned between two instances in a very subtle way.
Para incrementar el "efecto abismo" continué alterando las capas, ajustando luces y contrastes e hice una combinación con una capa de fase primaria en donde la distorsión era menor... Esto lo hago para generar "coherencia visual" pero al mismo tiempo hacer la imagen "flotar sobre esta capa alterada al extremo"... La abstracción entonces se posiciona entre dos instancias de manera muy sutil.
⬆ This looked good... But where the hell is my "burning lava waterfall"?...😒
Esto pintaba bien... ¿Pero donde rayos está mi "cascada de lava ardiente"?... 😒
⬆ So I added empty spaces to my "apocalyptic planet" and I dedicated myself to painting over those areas using blending brushes, distortion and even cloning by patches... Everything is for having lava!...... 🌋
Entonces agregué espacios vacíos a mi "planeta apocalíptico" y me dediqué a pintar sobre esas áreas usando brochas de licuado, distorsión e inclusive inclinación por parches... ¡Todo sea por tener lava!... 🌋
⬆ And voila!... That's how I got my nice and uncomfortable private view of a world going to apocalyptic hell!... 😎
¡Y listo!... ¡Así fue como obtuve mi agradable e incomoda vista particular de un mundo yéndose al infierno apocalíptico!... 😎
