This is my fourth ever completed sweater, the second that is knitted (the first two were crocheted) and I'm calling it The Cloudy Days sweater ☁️
project details
Yarn: Bernat chunky softee in cream, grey and black
Needles: 10 mm for the body and sleeves / 6 mm for the rib
The body was worked flat bottom up and seamed, then I worked the rib collar and sleeves in the round
I wanted something very oversized and cozy so there is about 5 inches of positive ease
On both the sweaters I knitted I added a garter stitch on the edges of the front and back panels to prevent curling and making it easier to seam but I think I will skip that as it is great in some parts I don't love it as much where the sleeve attaches...
Back view:
It's as cozy as it looks, this yarn hold up to it's name and it got even softer after the first wash :) Ironically today it is fairly mild outside and we have the wood stove running so it is like 23 C in here and a bit too warm to wear a sweater LOL. I was roasting a bit while taking the pics
The side seam:
I guess at this point II will transition to making lighter more summery garments, maybe a few tops/dresses???
