An out-of-body experience (OBE) is a phenomenon where a person feels as if their consciousness is separate from their physical body. People who have OBEs often describe the experience as feeling like they are outside of themselves, looking at their body from a different perspective.
Some common characteristics of OBEs include:
- feeling like you are floating outside of your body
- seeing the world from a different perspective
- a vibrating sensation
