Have you ever wondered what complex set of rules are woven together to create a vacuum where our memories lie? What algorithm in the human system kicks into gear when recall is necessary?
In the post, nftshowroom X alienarthive challenge for January: memories, NFTShowroom featured all the month's Geometry themed Art minted so far on the NFT Showroom's home page / twitter. Also, Alien Art Hive will be curating participants' blog posts. This challenge was intended for the full month of January. Participants are required to:
- make art incorporating memories theme;
- mint it on https://nftshowroom.com/;
- make a blog post about it in Alien Art Hive; and
- use #nftshowroom in your tags
Below are my steps I took to create my third design for this theme.
The animated version of my design was minted on NFTShowroom. I love how the image that resembled a black hole drifts downward.
The information for my mint on NFTShowroom.

My Creation Process:
For creation of the "feeling of home" scene in this multi-faced design, I wanted to explore the concept of memories stored in a black hole. When recalled, they flow from the void. I discovered a haunting free-sourced image of a female's face. The idea to duplicate it into shadowy versions of the original coincided with the black hole concept. I placed the duplicate faces in the background as though they were observing from another dimension.
Of course, I desired to include an alien element from an image of a feline. Another interesting image I retrieved from the stable diffusion program, StarryAI. This image was the closest representation of a black hole.
Rounding out the images was a pure fractal I created in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X that resembled one half of a wing. With its pointed flanges, I titled it "Dragon Wings".
I produced a still version of my design by uploading all images into Canva, my design program, then I added layers of elements. With their free backgrounds for members, I was able to locate a suitable rainy night in a soft purple hue. I feel it was an excellent fit for the foreground images.
I took the still version to Photo Mosh Pro to apply a filter. The result was awesome with the SLICES filter. Here is the final result:
