Hello, how are you? It has been a month since I last joined Splinterland's weekly art contest; now that I am recovering from my art block, LOL. It feels good to be back, even though I'm still a little bit hesitant to draw. By the way, for my entry, I am going to draw Phantom of the Abyss. I chose him because the weather is kind of rainy lately, the water is everywhere, but the good thing about it is that the weather is not hot, I feel relaxed when I am sleeping, LOL.
The Process:
For the line art, I chose just a simple pose. I am focusing on the character more. I used marker detail to draw the line art.
After that, I added texture to the canvas, it is a ritual for me since I discovered it, heh, just adding a little extra sprinkle of it. So for this part, I used the shape fill tool to add the base color of the character, and then I made sure that every part had its layer to make the rendering easier later.
For this part, I still use the shape fill tool to add the shadows and the highlights. This makes it easier to render for later.
For this part, I am starting to render the character, and I lower the opacity of the line art to make rendering easier, and I am not dependent on the line art, so yeah, she will be gone later.
For this part, I darken the background color, and then I start to add details to the character.
For the final process, I added a water effect as his background design because his power is water, and I added bubbles too, and I added more highlights and shadows.
Thank you for visiting. See you on my next blog. :D
Please take care of your mental health as well.
I hope you are okay today :))
