In the quiet town of Brookside, where the moon cast its glow upon the rocky streets, lived a girl named Estelle. Estelle was not an ordinary girl; she possessed a peculiar gift that manifested only at night.By day, Estelle was an cheerful teenager with a natural love for books and stargazing. But when the sun dipped below the horizon, she transforms into an elf, horns, little wings, her eyes sparkled with an otherworldly glow.
This adventures began when she discovered the hidden portal in the ancient oak tree near her home. As the clock struck midnight, Estelle would step into an extraordinary realm, In this ethereal world, creatures of the night conversed in high pitched tones, sharing secrets with the girl who seemed to belong to both worlds. She got a unique ability to communicate with the stars, the stars whispered tales of distant galaxies, and estelle, in turn, shared the wonders of the human world.
One night, Estelle encountered a mysterious guardian spirit who told her about an important ancient responsibility she bore. Estelle has to make sure things stayed balanced between the day and night realms and also keep the magic of the moon working smoothly in the world.
Although her new life was fascinating and magical, she loved it but balancing the ordinary daytime activities with the extraordinary nighttime responsibilities was no easy task. She embraced this life and with each passing night she grew wiser and more aligned with the stars that guided her.
It's the cosmic creations contest and this is my submission, I guess I'm lucky to have beaten the deadline because I've been away from hive for about two weeks due to some health issues....
PROCESS
The idea was to create a girl with different facial parts, one part ordinary and one ethereal elf. My initial plan was to use red but I didn't want to portray her as a dangerous or any kind of darkness around her. I started with a simple sketch highlighting her horn, wings, and every other important feature needed for the main work. I painted different colours for her hair, clothes and facial features, also painted her little wings....
I started the rendering process with her skin and also added little details to her clothes and hair. I drew her necklace, and began to divide her face and body into two parts, the normal girl and elf. I chose yellow and orange tones and stuck with them throughout the painting process.
I added more details to her horns and eyes, painted the stars and moon and added extra colour to her black little wing.
I went on to fix the background using different brushes and painted some glow all around...
