Lo primero que hago es bocetear el tronco del árbol y hacer su suelo, que realizo la técnica de puntillismo para conseguir el efecto de musgo que persigo.

Dejo todo marcado en colores planos para luego darle los detalles en otro paso más adelantado.

The first thing I do is sketch the trunk of the tree and make its floor, which I use the pointillism technique to achieve the moss effect I am after.

I leave everything marked in flat colors and then give the details in another further step.

Hago las hojas del bonsai, aplicando la misma técnica del puntillismo y trabajando cada una de las cosas en capas por separado. Para las hojas uso 3 tonos de verde diferentes y personalizados, trabajando con una mezcla de sluces y sombras entre cada verde.

Detallo el tronco del bonsai, usando la misma técnica de luces y sombras mezcladas, creando así un bonito efecto en las raíces.

Dibujo la maceta haciendo que un poco de musgo se desborde de ella para así crear la profundidad necesaria. Ajusto algunos detalles en la raíz.

Le hago la maceta generando distintas tonalidades de gris y usando un poco del de la técnica de puntillismo también, de esta forma mantengo la composición y la narrativa que busco en este arte.

I make the bonsai leaves, applying the same pointillism technique and working each of the things in separate layers.

For the leaves I use 3 different and personalized shades of green, working with a mixture of highlights and shadows between each green.

I detail the trunk of the bonsai, using the same technique of mixed lights and shadows, thus creating a beautiful effect on the roots.

I draw the pot making some moss overflow from it to create the necessary depth. I adjust some details in the root.

I make the pot by generating different shades of gray and using a bit of the pointillism technique as well, in this way I maintain the composition and narrative that I am looking for in this art.

Acá dibujo las piedras con sus detalles de musgo, hago la primera parte del cielo escogiendo un color azul bastante aventurero produciendo una audaz sombras con luces.

Y le añado unas montañas nevadas al fondo para ayudar a resaltar al bonsai.

Here I draw the stones with their moss details, I make the first part of the sky choosing a quite adventurous blue color producing bold shadows with lights.

And I add some snowy mountains in the background to help the bonsai stand out.

Hago la segunda parte del cielo, construyendo un pequeño efecto de dithering en colores azules, dibujo algunas nubes más cercanas y mejor definidas.

Le agrego un color al suelo, poniéndoles algunos detalles para hacer ver que es una especie de superficie rugosa con algunos pliegos.

Sumo mi marca de agua con la cara de gato y mi firma en capas aparte con opacidad reducida y usando el filtro de sustraer para lograr el resultado deseado.

I make the second part of the sky, building a small dithering effect in blue colors, drawing some closer and better defined clouds.

I add a color to the floor, putting some details to show that it is a kind of rough surface with some folds.

I add my watermark with the cat face and my signature on separate layers with reduced opacity and using the subtract filter to achieve the desired result.

Este bonsai me desafío en las sombras del tronco y la maceta, las cuales me costaron bastante de escoger y de lograr.

También las piedras me resultaron complejas de lograr. Estuve un rato decidiendo como hacer el fondo, porque como siempre me cuesta mucho trabajo decidir que fondo o técnica elegir para hacerlo.

Este árbol me dio mucha paz y me relajé al hacerlo. Está listo para lucirse en tu colección.

This bonsai challenged me in the shadows of the trunk and the pot, which were difficult for me to choose and achieve.

The stones were also complex for me to achieve. I spent a while deciding how to do the background, because as always I have a hard time deciding what background or technique to choose to do it.

This tree gave me a lot of peace and I relaxed while doing it. It is ready to show off in your collection.
