Hi, my name is Sonja and I live in deepest Småland, Sweden.
I am so happy that I can devote the rest of my life to painting since I retired a year ago. I spend my time creating all sorts of things that spread beauty, especially if it's free. I am a real treasure hunter and see opportunities in everything. So when I find discarded items, I can often find an artistic application for these outcasts.
Right now I am in the painting phase. I have a clear idea of what art is! For my part, I do not like to depict realism because it is already done!
Now I dive into the imagination, fantasy, patterns and try to recreate things in a more fantastic way. I try to convey the beautiful in the ugly and vice versa.
I was introduced to Hive a long time ago but decided it was time to finally get my blog going here. I admit that all the technology for Hive and the process is quite complicated, especially since English is not my first language.
But I'm looking forward to learning more and sharing my artwork with everyone here. I'm also looking forward to making connections and discovering some amazing artists. I know it will be worth the time to figure all this out.
I have many paintings that I need to take better photographs of in order to share them. When I am inspired, I can produce many paintings in a short time. I need to get used to documenting the process so that I can share some of my creative process. For now, I just want to give a glimpse of some of the artworks I have ready to show.
I appreciate the opportunity to start this new adventure here at the Hive. It will be nice to have my art here for everyone to see. Thank youfor helping me get started. Thank you Hive for reading my introduction. I look forward to sharing more posts and my thoughts and art with you all.
