Good evening my dearest community of artists and lovers of weird illustration, welcome once again to another one of my drawings; I was super absent here for my blog since last Thursday, because I had problems with my computer which had a malfunction and then did not want to start at all. As many people who are from Venezuela will know from almost the end of last week until yesterday was celebrated in my country the Carnival dates and therefore most businesses and stores were not working during those days; therefore, I could not repair my PC and there was no one to come to my house to repair it, fortunately I managed yesterday afternoon to correct the problem and I'm here again.
Buenas noches mi queridísima comunidad de artistas y amante de la ilustración rara, sean bienvenidos una vez más a otro más de mis dibujos; estuve super ausente por aquí por mi blog desde el jueves pasado, pues tuve problemas con mi computadora la cual tuvo un desperfecto y luego no quería arrancan para nada. Como mucha gente que es de Venezuela sabrá desde casi finales de la semana pasada hasta el día de ayer se celebraron en mi país las fechas Carnavalescas y por ende la mayor parte de negocios y comercios no estuvieron laborando durante esos días; por tanto, no podía reparar mi PC y tampoco había nadie que viniera hasta mi casa a repararla, afortunadamente logre ayer en la tarde corregir el desperfecto y estoy por aquí de nuevo.
Within the bad of not being able to work as usual on my PC I can say that something good came out hehehehehe, and that is that I had the opportunity to use my (graphic tablet) from my phone which was something I had not been able to do since I bought it 2 years ago; it was something very new and different that I found very fun because I could experiment and test my skills on a smaller canvas than usual. I decided to do something simple since I don't have a lot of experience using my graphic tablet from my phone, and I wanted to do something related to the theme (Alien); and that's why I want to introduce you to Fjiolla, Queen of the planet Allbion:
Dentro de lo malo de no poder trabajar como de costumbre en mi PC se puede decir que salió algo bueno jejejeje, y es que tuve la oportunidad de poder utilizar mi (tableta grafica) desde mi teléfono lo cual era algo que no había podido hacer desde hace que la compre hace 2 años atrás; fue algo muy nuevo y diferente que me resulto muy divertido ya que pude experimentar y probar mis habilidades en un lienzo más pequeño que el de costumbre. Decidí hacer algo sencillo ya que no tengo gran experiencia usando mi tableta grafica desde mi teléfono, y quise hacer algo relacionado con la temática (Alien); y es por eso que les quiero presentar a Fjiolla, Reina del planeta Allbion:
PROCESS / PROCESO
Starting my sketch was a really arduous process, because even though as I mentioned I was using my tablet I'm still very used to look at several references on my screen while drawing; which I can't or at least I don't know how to do from my phone, even so, I did my best and managed to create Fjiolla in a kind of pose of tranquility and peace. I decided to do with short hair and with a suit to my perspective of how is an alien outfit, once finished the sketch and the outline I could get down to work with the painting process; for this character I decided to use green tones for much of the illustration, especially for the skin where I used a medium jade-green.
Empezar mi boceto fue un proceso realmente arduo, ya que a pesar de que como les mencione estaba usando mi tableta aun así estoy muy acostumbrado a mirar varias referencias en mi pantalla mientras dibujo; lo cual no puedo o al menos no se como hacer desde mi teléfono, aun así, hice mi mayor esfuerzo y logre crear a Fjiolla en una especie de pose como de tranquilidad y paz. Decidí hacer con cabello algo corto y con una traje a mi perspectiva de como es una vestimenta alíen, una vez terminado el boceto y el delineado pude ya ponerme manos a la obra con el proceso de pintado; para este personaje me decidí por usar tonos verdes para gran parte de la ilustración, sobre todo para la piel donde use un verde-jade medio.
I started to build the skin of Fjiolla as it is normally done from the PC, but I must admit that it was not so easy, because in this program (Medibang Paint for Android) I don't have my usual brushes and those that are there you have to adjust a lot the opacity and pressure to get results like the ones I like; even so, I worked a lot this section at the time of blurring so that the foot had the appearance that I had in mind. After softening the skin with a Medibang diffused brush I could move on to the eyes where I used a fine tip brush and a very dark gray tone to paint the eyeballs; then for the lips I used the same brush but this time I went for a green tone slightly more saturated than the skin, little by little and with a brush (ink pen) I was texturing and giving life to both the lips and the iris of the eye.
Comencé a construir la piel de Fjiolla tal y como normalmente lo hace desde la PC, pero debo reconocer que no fue tan fácil, pues en este programa (Medibang Paint para Android) no tengo mis pinceles habituales y los que están allí hay que ajustar mucho la opacidad y la presión para conseguir resultados como los que a mi me agradan; aun así, trabaje mucho este apartado a la hora del difuminado para que la pie tuviera la apariencia que yo tenia en mente. Luego de suavizar la piel con un pincel difuso de Medibang ya pude pasar al pintado de los ojos donde emplee un pincel de punta fina y una tonalidad gris muy oscura para pintar los globos oculares; luego para los labios use el mismo pincel pero esta vez me fui por un tono verde ligeramente mas saturado que el de la piel, poco a poco y con un pincel (Pluma tinta) fui texturizando y dándoles vida tanto a los labios como al iris del ojo.
For the hair I decided to do something quite common since I didn't have in Medibang the brushes with open ends, so I used the brush (stippling pen) and so I was giving stroke by stroke a good relief to the hair; finally with the fine tip brush at low opacity I was making several loose strokes in different areas of the hair to try to make it look as realistic as possible. With the hairstyle ready the only thing I had left of the character was the clothing, here I used a medium swampy and opaque green for the lower part of the suit; then for the armor parts I used a lot of gray, in the silver parts (armor) I concentrated in adding a lot of shines and at the same time a good amount of occlusion shadows to achieve the best possible texturization of these parts.
Para el aparatado del pelo decidí hacer algo bastante común ya que no contaba en Medibang con los pinceles de puntas abiertas, por eso use el pincel (Pluma de punteado) y así fui dándole trazo a trazo un buen relieve al cabello; finalmente con el pincel de punta fina a baja opacidad fui realizando varios trazos sueltos en diferentes zonas del pelo para tratar de lograr que se viera lo mas realista posible. Con el peinado listo lo único que me quedaba del personaje era la vestimenta, aquí use un verde medio pantanoso y opaco para la zona baja del traje; luego para las parte de la armadura use mucho gris, en las parte plateadas (Armadura) me concentre en agregar muchos brillos y a la vez buena cantidad de sombras de oclusión para lograr texturizar lo mejor posible estas partes.
For the final part of the whole drawing I left the background, which in this case would be the scenery, by this time fortunately I had already been able to repair my computer and what I did was to export the file in a document (PSD) and pass it to the program (Krita) to build a background a little more elaborate; here I created many rock formations in the back to illustrate a little the atmosphere that prevails on the planet of Fjiolla. I used a rough brush that at the same time mixes 2 colors and so I got a very interesting texture, then I blurred a little to soften a little the background; and finally I created a slight haze (Toxic) floating in the air and which only those who were born there can endure.
Ya para la parte final de todo el dibujo deje el fondo, que en este caso seria el escenario, para este momento afortunadamente ya había podido reparar mi computadora y lo que hice fue exportar el archivo en un documento (PSD) y lo pase al programa (Krita) para construir un fondo un poco más elaborado; aquí fui creando muchas formaciones rocosas en la parte de atrás para ilustrar un poco la atmosfera que predomina en el planeta de Fjiolla. Use un pincel punta rugosa que a la vez mezcla 2 colores y así conseguí una textura bastante interesante, luego difumine un poco para suavizar un ligeramente el fondo; ya por último cree una leve neblina (Toxica) flotando en el aire y la cual solo pueden soportar aquellos que han nacido allí.
