Happy Monday and happy start of the week my dear readers, my name is Manuel and as always I want to welcome you to a new post for my blog, this time it will be an artistic post where the central theme will be the element of fire; I usually like to make drawings related to the elements of nature and I had been about 2 or 3 weeks or so without creating anything related to fire and this seemed a good opportunity to do something, especially to continue perfecting my technique in the creation of natural elements. Today's character is the spirit of a brave woman who I decided to call by the name of (Jeannine), and which represents the natural energy of fire, nobody knows much about her, only that she was born of fire itself, when a fire gets out of control and the flames are so strong and intense that can not be extinguished is where the spirit of (Jeannine) is manifested to destroy everything and everyone in its path:
Feliz lunes y feliz inicio de semana mis queridísimos lectores, mi nombre es Manuel y como siempre les quiero dar la bienvenida a un nuevo post para mi blog, en esta oportunidad se tratara de un post artístico donde el tema central será el del elemento fuego; normalmente me gusta realizar dibujos relacionados con los elementos de la naturaleza y ya llevaba unas 2 o 3 semanas mas o menos sin crear nada relacionado con el fuego y esta me pareció una buena oportunidad para hacer algo, sobre todo para seguir perfeccionado mi técnica en la creación de elementos naturales. El personaje de hoy se trata del espíritu de una aguerrida mujer a quien decidí llamar por el nombre de (Jeannine), y la cual representa la energía natural del fuego, nadie sabe mucho sobre ella, solo que nació del fuego mismo; cuando un incendio se sale de control y las llamas son tan fuertes e intensas que no se pueden extinguir es allí donde se manifiesta el espíritu de (Jeannine) para arrasar con todo y todos los que se encuentre a su paso:

For this illustration I decided to create an almost full body sketch, with (Jeannine) as the main protagonist of the canvas, basically I focused on giving the spirit of fire a physical and solid appearance of a woman of about 30 years old which would be covered by large flames and flames; the choice of color was made from an old color palette that I had saved and which had many warm shades, for the skin I used a sandy tone somewhat saturated as I wanted to achieve a skin with enough life, for the details of shadows and glows I decided to work first with a little airbrush to get a skin as soft and smooth as possible. For the face section I worked on the expression of her face to transmit a more sinister and ruthless personality as it is supposed to be for the spirit of fire, I painted the lips with a dark Vinotinto color and I was scaling a little to achieve some shine and adequate volume; for the eyes on the other hand I decided to use orange tones along with a little yellow to symbolize a little fire in her eyes.
Para esta ilustración decidí crear un boceto a cuerpo casi entero, con (Jeannine) como principal protagonista del lienzo, básicamente me centre en darle al espíritu del fuego una apariencia física y solida de una mujer de unos 30 años de edad aproximadamente la cual estaría cubierta por grandes flamas y llamaradas; la elección de colore la hice de una paleta de colores antigua que tenia guardada y la cual contaba con muchas tonalidades cálidas, para la piel use un tono arenoso un tanto saturado ya que quería lograr una piel con bastante vida, para los detalles de sombras y brillos decidí trabajar primero con un poco de aerógrafo para conseguir una piel lo más suave y tersa posible. Para el apartado del rostro trabajar la expresión de su rostro para que esta transmitiera una personalidad un tanto más siniestra y despiadada como se supone que debería ser para el espíritu del fuego, los labios los pinte con un color Vinotinto oscuro y fui escalando un poco hasta lograr unos brillos y volumen adecuado; para los ojos por otro lado me decidí por usar tonos naranjas junto con un poco de amarillo para simbolizar un poco el fuego en su mirada.
The dress of (Jeannine) in this opportunity I wanted it to be a kind of long and sensual dress, with bare shoulders, but also with sleeves that covered her arms in a spiral shape, with the airbrush I was giving that first texture to the dress with a little red a little lighter, and for the shadow parts I used a little brown to get a better shading; once finished the deep shadows and occlusion shadows of the dress the next thing I did was to create a small pattern all over the surface of the dress, for this I created a layer in multiply mode and created half tribal figures both in the bust and in the lower part of the dress. I repeated the process of the patterns a couple of times more since at the beginning they looked too opaque and finally I applied a small filter so that the pattern on the dress was a little more noticeable, and then I continued with the creation of the hair, and as I had already used many warm tones in the first part I thought it was a good idea to paint the hair in a soft gray color and little by little I darkened it a little in certain areas and adding only a few small shines in the part of the crowns which would give a more realistic shape to the hairstyle.
La vestimenta de (Jeannine) en esta oportunidad quise que fuese una especie de vestido largo y sensual, con los hombros al descubierto, pero igualmente con mangas que cubriesen sus brazos en forma de espiral, con el aerógrafo fui dando esa primera textura al vestido con un poco de rojo un tanto mas claro, y para las partes de sombra use un poco de marrón para conseguir un mejor sombreado; una vez terminadas las sombras profundas y sombras de oclusión del vestido lo siguiente que hice fue crear un pequeño patrón por toda la superficie del vestido, para ello cree una capa en modo multiplicar y cree figuras medio tribales tanto en la parte del busto como en la parte baja del vestido. Repetí el proceso de los patrones un par de veces mas ya que en un inicio se veía demasiado opacos y finalmente aplique un pequeño filtro para que el patrón en el vestido se notara un poco más, ya luego continúe con la creación del cabello, y como ya había usado muchas tonalidades cálidas en la primera parte pues me pareció buena idea el pintar el pelo de un color gris suave y poco a poco lo fui oscureciendo un poco en ciertas zonas y añadiendo solo unos pequeños brillos en la parte de la coronillas los cuales darían forma más realista al peinado.
To create the fire around (Jeannine) my intention was to create big wavy lines or flames in the frontground as well as in the backgroudn, for this I used an intense orange in the back and a warmer orange in the front, and all this part I did using my airbrush; after the basic shape of the flames was ready the next thing I did was to give a little shape and volume to the flames with the help of the watercolor brush, here the important thing is to create variation of tones from the outer part of the flames to reach the center of them and there I apply the brightest shades possible. An important step when creating fire is to slightly blur the strokes so that the flames are compacted a little better and then create new strokes with airbrush to finally achieve that effect of heat that fire produces; finally I dedicated myself to work a little lighting around the fire, in the background and of course the part of the body of (Jeannine) that are closer to the flames, for this I used a little yellow, orange and apply the effect of layer (Shine) and thus give a better feeling that the character is completely immersed inside the flames.
Para crear el fuego alrededor de (Jeannine) mi intensión fue la de crear grandes líneas o flamas en forma onduladas tanto en el frontground como en el backgroudn, para esto use un naranja intenso en la parte de atrás y un naranja más cálido en el frente, y toda esta parte la hice usando mi pincel de aerógrafo; luego de que la forma básica de las flamas estaba lista lo siguiente que hice fue ir dándoles un poco de forma y volumen a las flamas con ayuda del pincel de acuarela, aquí lo importante es crea variación de tonos desde la parte externa de las flamas hasta llegar al centro de ellas y allí aplico las tonalidades mas brillantes posibles. Un paso importante a la hora de crear fuego es el de difuminar levemente los trazos para que las llamas se compacten un poco mejor y luego ir creando nuevos trazos con aerógrafo para lograr así por fin ese efecto de calor que produce el fuego; finalmente me dedique a trabajar un poco la iluminación alrededor del fuego, en el fondo y por supuesto las parte del cuerpo de (Jeannine) que están mas próximas a las llamas, para esto use un poco de amarillo, naranja y aplique el efecto de capa (Shine) y de esta manera daría una mejor sensación de que el personaje esta completamente inmersa en el interior de las llamas.
