This is the final result of my pottery challenge. It took time to make it and finally I have it at home with me.
I thought I should make a plate this time. There is, I first thought a dinosaur in the middle but it came out to be something else. It'll always swim in my plate there.
Here it is before the first baking. The clay was so soft. I made a dinosaur, a chick and a caterpillar so I thought.
First, I thought I put the caterpillar and the chick next to the dinosaur but it would be crowded.
Here the plate is after its first baking. I used white clay. This clay is white after baking, before baking it is gray.
Time for coloring it.
After I colored everything, the plate was put in a bucket, just for a second, where was special liquid that covered all my colored art. Then, the plate went to the oven for its second time.
Here is my new plate! The green color actually changed to blue...hmmm...but I like it. The chick kind of disappeared. Then a thought came...maybe it was Loch Ness monster swimming in my plate from the start! I just didn't know first.
Loch Ness monster is much better than a dinosaur I think.
The caterpillar in detail.
I forgot to use my horsey stamp on the back side. My teacher though new right away this was my art. Safe!
The end. :)
