"Flora and fauna" refers to the collective plant life (flora) and animal life (fauna) inhabiting a specific region or time, representing the total biodiversity of an ecosystem. Flora covers vegetation like trees and flowers, while fauna includes creatures such as mammals, birds, and insects.
