Bramble Pixie

Mischievous and violent creatures, bramble pixies live in abundance on the forest realm of Folia, where they spend their time tormenting woodland creatures, laying traps, and making a general nuisance of themselves. They have a nasty penchant for wrapping the deadly hedge-scoke bramble around their blades. The sap of this bramble is known to enhance emotion—particularly anger—and the bramble pixie is prone to striking at their foes in a deadly rage, stabbing the life out of them.

When the Riftwatchers visited Folia, some of these pixies stowed away in their packs. During the journey through the rifts to Praetoria something happened to their wings and when they arrived they were unable to fly; however, you can always hear the angry buzz of their wings when they attack. While they’ve learned to avoid contact with the hedge-scoke bramble’s sap, the bramble pixies haven’t lost their mischievous streak, which can be a painful annoyance to their Riftwatcher allies.

Process:

First I make the sketch using my lineart brush.

Primero hago el boceto usando mi pincel de lineart.

Then, I put the base colors for each part of her body.

Entonces pongo los colores base para cada parte de su cuerpo.

Finally, I create new layers to make the shadows and another details, also for the background I apply a gradient of 3 different colors and for the luminous outline I use a smudger over a yellow color in a layer behind the character.

Finalmente, creo nuevas capas para hacer las sombras y otros detalles, tambien para el fondo aplico un degradado de 3 colores diferentes y para los bordes luminosos uso un difuminado sobre un color amarillo en una capa detras del personaje.
