The historic Rodgers Theater...
Graphic Design Yo...
When my wife and I first arrived in Missouri, I took the first job I could get. It was working as maintenance at a nursing home facility, and it did not take me long to realize I hated it. Do not get me wrong, I love older people, but the job itself was depressing, and my boss was horrible. My wife encouraged me after about two months to quit and find something I wanted to do, so I did.
Out Of Work and More Depressed
Because I currently do not have an unrestricted driving license, it's hard for me to find work where we live. I finally started doing things old school and went door to door at businesses that I thought might be interested in my skill set. Eventually, I walked into a local printing company, and sure enough, they needed workers. Better yet, they needed people who knew graphic design!
Printing...A Paycheck!
I have been working as a printer for about two months now, and I do everything from design work in Adobe through the whole project until it's sent out. I get to do a lot of cool stuff, and also, I'm getting to know a lot of local business people as well. One of the coolest things I do is design work for a historical theater called "The Rodgers."
I made these!
