Hello people. Welcome back to this little corner of digital art. This time I want to present the process of this beautiful robot girl that I made a few days ago. When I saw the reference photo of this girl, it came to my mind to make a queen bee human version, but at the same time I wanted to create something robotic, so I combined the two.

Cuando vi la foto de referencia de esta chica, se me ocurrió hacer una versión humana de abeja reina, pero al mismo tiempo quería crear algo robótico, así que combiné las dos cosas.

I started like any other process by making a sketch of what would be her body, after that I started to make what would be her clothes and chose a palette of colors that I would use on her. (Although from time to time I added a new color). Having this, I changed the background color, no more because I do my illustrations from my phone and having such a light background bothers my eyes.
Empecé como cualquier otro proceso haciendo un boceto de lo que sería su cuerpo, después inicié a hacer lo que sería su ropa y elegí una paleta de colores que usaría en ella. (Aunque de vez en cuando añadía un nuevo color). Teniendo esto, cambié el color de fondo, no más porque hago mis ilustraciones desde el teléfono y tener un fondo tan claro me molesta a la vista.

Then I started to do what would be her skin, I tried to do the impressionism technique, but I wasn't good at it, so I put that idea aside and continued with what would be her hair. For the shadows of these two I used a layer on top with the "multiply" option and used a cool color like purple or navy blue.
I want to point out that I have never been good at realism.
Luego empecé a hacer lo que sería su piel, intenté hacer la técnica del impresionismo, pero no se me daba bien, así que dejé de lado esa idea y continué con lo que sería su cabello. Para las sombras de estos dos utilicé una capa encima con la opción "multiplicar" y utilicé un color frío como el morado o el azul marino.
Quiero señalar que nunca se me ha dado bien el realismo.

After that I continued with what would be her clothes, I wanted her body to be half robot, so I started giving her that metallic effect on what would be her bionic arm and armour. Playing with the lights that can reflect on her was the most fun part of the process. I also made her a skirt that shows off her wide hips, just because she's a queen bee.
I liked that the girl in the image of the reference has a whole arm tattooed (I love tattoos!, day by day I live and breathe what this art is), for this reason I liked the idea of putting her tattooed, making her a very tough girl, but I didn't want to make the ones that the reference already had, so I chose tattoos in black work style (the dragon) and dotwork (the peony).
Después de esto continué con lo que sería su ropa, quería que su cuerpo fuera mitad robot, así que empecé a darle ese efecto metálico en lo que sería su brazo biónico y su coraza. Jugar con las luces que pueden reflejarse en ella fue lo más divertido del proceso. También le hice una falda que deja ver sus anchas caderas, sólo por el hecho de ser una abeja reina.
Me gustó que la chica de la imagen de la referencia tiene todo un brazo tatuado (¡me encantan los tatuajes!, día a día vivo y respiro lo que es este arte), por eso me gustó la idea de ponerla tatuada, haciéndola una chica muy dura, pero no quería hacer los que ya tenía la referencia, así que elegí tatuajes en estilo black work (el dragón) y dotwork (la peonía).
I don't have an organized structure to make an illustration, so I usually do random details. At this point I started to make what would be his face, which I should have done before the clothes, but I really loved the idea of making his robotic side. Once I had his face finished, I went back to what would be his bionic arm, adding the lights and details that it would have.
No tengo una estructura organizada para hacer una ilustración, así que suelo hacer detalles al azar. En este punto empecé a hacer lo que sería su cara, que debería haber hecho antes que la ropa, pero realmente me encantó la idea de hacer su lado robótico. Una vez que tuve su cara terminada, volví a lo que sería su brazo biónico, añadiendo las luces y los detalles que tendría.
As far as his cape goes, it is a structure of the wings of bees and his crown is made of gold with small ruby ornaments. Now giving the final details, it occurred to me that through his robotic eye I could see a small hologram of a bee, I do not know whether to identify it as a memory that my cyborg could have had, or a message received from a general haha! I chose the background of this illustration in purple and with a galactic effect for her to stand out.
When I saw her almost finished I realized that she had a bad posture, so adding final details, I thought of lowering more the right shoulder and put more shadow on the neck and a little bit on the collarbone area.
En cuanto a su capa, es una estructura de las alas de las abejas y su corona es de oro con pequeños adornos de rubí. Ya dando los últimos detalles, se me ocurrió que a través de su ojo robótico podía ver un pequeño holograma de una abeja, no sé si identificarlo como un recuerdo que pudo tener mi ciborg, o un mensaje recibido de un general ¡jaja! Elegí el fondo de esta ilustración en color morado y con un efecto galáctico para que ella resaltara.
Al verla casi terminada me di cuenta de que tenía una mala postura, así que añadiendo detalles finales, se me ocurrió bajarle más el hombro derecho y ponerle más sombra al cuello y un poco a la zona de la clavícula.
