Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I've realized that mostly the drawings I do to participate in the #socialmediachallenge of @Splinterlands I take them to experiment different things, this time I chose the card of the game Cornealus to make a fanart and experiment a little and not do black line art, which is something I do a lot and the truth the final result of the drawing I loved it too much.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Me he dado cuenta que mayormente los dibujos que hago para participar en el #socialmediachallenge de @Splinterlands los tomo para experimentar diferentes cosas, esta vez escogí la carta del juego Cornealus para hacer un fanart y experimentar un poco y no hacer line art negro, que es algo que hago mucho y la verdad el resultado final del dibujo me encanto demasiado.

I start by making the sketch and for that I used a reference I found on Pinterest of an ocular eye, using as a reference the illustration of the original character. I made like that kind of tail of Cornealus as a mermaid tail, just because it came to my mind and because I felt it would look good. And I also integrated a lot of hands around it, you know I love drawing hands and I thought it was convincing to add them so the overall composition wouldn't look so visually empty.

Comienzo haciendo el boceto y para ello use una referencia que encontré en Pinterest de un ojo ocular, usando a su vez como referencia la ilustración del personaje original. Hice como esa especie de cola de Cornealus como una cola de sirena, solo porque se me vino a la mente y porque sentí que quedaría bien. Y también integre muchas manos a su alrededor, ya saben que amo dibujar manos y creí convincente agregarlas y así la composición en general no se vería tan vacía visualmente.

For the color work I used as a reference the color palette of the original character and played with the colors found in it and adapted them to my style of painting. I used only two art materials to paint this drawing, which were watercolors and fabric or textile paint, applying at the end details with wood colors.

Para el trabajo de color use como referencia la paleta de color del personaje original y jugué con los colores que en él mismo se encontraban y los adapte a mi estilo de pintar. Use solo dos materiales de arte para pintar este dibujo, los cuales fueron acuarelas y pintura de tela o textil, aplicando al final detalles con colores de madera.

I started applying layer by layer of paint until I reached tones that I felt were right for the drawing in general, adding little by little shades of intense pink, fuchsia for the eye and shades of red for the hands, which I would then paint in more detail and add blood to them, making them look "darker" or, well, giving them a dark and dark touch.

Comencé aplicando capa por capa de pintura hasta llegar a tonos los cuales sintiera que estaban bien para el dibujo en general, agregando poco a poco tonos de rosa intenso, tirando a fucsia para el ojo y tonos de rojo para las manos, las cuales luego pintaría mas detalladamente y agregaría sangre a las mismas, haciéndolas lucir más "oscuras" o bueno, dándole un toque tenebroso y oscuro.

I detailed more in depth each area of the drawing, like the character, the hands and so on. That's when I decided not to do line art and leave the illustration a little realistic and to tell the truth, it turned out very well. After making a couple of details with the wood colors, the final result was very charming and I thought it was going to be a simple drawing without many details and it was totally the opposite.

Detalle mas a profundidad cada zona del dibujo, como el personaje, las manos y demás. Fue cuando decidí no hacer line art y dejar la ilustración un poco realista y a decir verdad, quedo muy bien- Luego de hacer un par de detalles con los colores de madera, el resultado final me encanto demasiado y yo pensaba que iba a hace un dibujo simple sin muchos detalles y fue totalmente lo opuesto.
