Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! Today I bring you a new drawing I did recently, which is about some things I have learned thanks to various digital media. It has also been a drawing in which I have drained my artistic blockage once again.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! El día de hoy les traigo un nuevo dibujo que hice hace poco, el cual trata sobre ciertas cosas que he aprendido gracias a diversos medios de comunicación digital. Ademas ha sido un dibujo en el cual he drenado mi bloqueo artístico una vez más.

It is a descriptive or representative drawing, where I cover topics such as feeling vulnerable in a society full of demands. Looking for the meaning of life and thus be able to have a personal balance and life in general. Associating in turn the theme of empowerment and strengthen ties that go beyond personal growth, family and others. In short, it talks mostly about facing your personal fears, letting them go and start feeling good about yourself.

Es un dibujo descriptivo o representativo, donde abarco temas como sentirse vulnerable frente a una sociedad llena de exigencias. Buscando a su vez el sentido de la vida y así poder tener un equilibrio personal y de la vida en general. Asociando a su vez el tema del empoderamiento y fortalecer lazos que vayan mas allá de un crecimiento personal, familiar y demás. En resumen, habla mas que todo sobre enfrentar tus miedos personales, dejarlos ir y comenzar a sentirte bien contigo mismo.

I started making the sketch, looking for references of everything I wanted to represent in the drawing. Clearly the character you see in the drawing is me, embracing around him all the issues I wanted to describe and that soon I will tell you. The hourglass represents the time it will take us to face all that we are going through, but that in turn fulfills the action of that imbalance that we want to leave, to begin to live the present in a healthy way.

Comencé haciendo el boceto, buscando referencias de todo lo que quería representar en el dibujo. Claramente el personaje que se ve en el dibujo soy yo, abarcando a su alrededor todos los temas que quería describir y que dentro de poco les iré contando. El reloj de arena representa ese tiempo que nos llevara afrontar todo lo que estamos pasando, pero que a su vez cumple la acción de ese desequilibrio que queremos dejar, para comenzar a vivir el presente de una forma sana.

The moth represents many things in the spiritual world, such as personal transformation, vulnerability in the face of a problem, accepting a drastic change in your life and being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and so on. And finally the snake is that entity associated with personal power. Considered as a sacred and divine animal in many parts of the world, because it is associated with wisdom, energy and strength, considered as a great protection against evil forces. All this is a set of descriptions and representations within this drawing, but you can give it the definition or description you want.

La polilla representa muchas cosas dentro del mundo espiritual, como por ejemplo la transformación personal, vulnerabilidad frente algún problema, aceptar un cambio drástico en tu vida y poder ver la luz al final del túnel y demás cosas. Y finalmente la serpiente es ese ente asociado al poder personal. Considerada como un animal sagrado y divino en muchas partes del mundo, porque se asocia a su vez con la sabiduría, energía y fortaleza, considerado como una gran protección frente a fuerzas del mal. Todo esto es un conjunto de descripciones y representaciones dentro de este dibujo, pero que tu puedes darle la definición o descripción que quieras.

The color palette I used was warm, with some cold tints as well, but in general I worked with a warm palette, to give a little warmth to the drawing, because if I worked with cold colors, the drawing would become in a very depressive or sad sense and the truth was not what I wanted to achieve, it has a lot to do with the message I wanted to give. Watercolors in their totality and wood colors, the materials that I always use in my drawings and that I feel that they are the ones that I work best. Finishing the drawing with the final details using ink for the line art and white paint for the white details.

La paleta de color que use fue cálida, con ciertos tintes de fría también, pero en general trabaje una paleta cálida, para dar un poco de calidez al dibujo, porque si trabajaba con colores fríos, el dibujo se tornaría en un sentido muy depresivo o triste y la verdad no era a lo que quería llegar, mucho tiene con el mensaje que quise dar. Acuarelas en su totalidad y colores de madera, los materiales que siempre uso en mis dibujos y que siento que son los que mejor trabajo. Terminando el dibujo con los detalles finales usando tinta para el line art y pintura blanca para los detalles en blanco.

It was a drawing that helped me to get out of my artistic block. I hate that huge desire you have to draw and just not knowing what to do or just not working with the same spirit as always, but at this point is something that happens to the vast majority of artists, the only thing left to do is to take a few days off and refill that creative energy that represents us so much.

Fue un dibujo que me ayudo a salir de mi bloqueo artístico. Odio esas ganas enormes que tienes por dibujar y simplemente no saber que hacer o simplemente no trabajar con los mismos ánimos de siempre, pero a este punto es algo que nos pasa a la gran mayoría de artistas, lo único que nos queda hacer es tomarnos unos días de descanso y volver a llenar esa energía creativa que nos representa tanto.
