This is the first drawing of a possible series I'm thinking about in the last weeks.
People in a background of rubble, ruins, debris. Happy, quiet people meeting each other, making daily tasks or simply going around. Maybe they are survivors. Maybe just new wanderers in a world filled with fighting.
I tried to make some paintings with ruins some years ago but for some reasons it didn't work. Maybe today, in a an international political climate more heated, with USA and Russia trying to expand their influence and their land, with Europe thinking about creating its own army, well, maybe today it will work.
I don't know if it is a good thing but, you know, this is our time.
