Today I bring you a work that I did for the "Art among friends" salon sponsored by a Cuban artist, Carlos Reina and that has as a common thread, the unconventional support where the works were made, as all were made on cartridges, paper bags, although these bags are no longer very common in Cuba, in other places they are found in markets and stores.
Hoy te traigo una obra que hice para el salon " Arte entre amigos " que auspició un artista cubano , Carlos Reina y que tiene como hilo conductor, el soporte poco convencional donde se realizaron las obras , ya que todas fueron hechas sobre cartuchos , bolsa para cargar de papel, aunque bueno estás bolsas en Cuba ya no son muy comunes, en otros lugares si se encuentran en mercados y tiendas
To start on the blank cartridge, I applied a coat of primer so that this material would better support the paints that I was going to apply.
As for the theme I was inspired by the Framboyan, which is a very beautiful tree and at this time is in bloom and in some parks can be seen showing off their thick reddish hair. The concept of the Framboyan but at the same time it was a hand, this already makes the reading a little wider and can go down different paths, I hope that everyone chooses the one you like the most.
Para comenzar sobre el cartucho en blanco , apliqué una capa de imprimación para que este material soportará mejor las pinturas que luego le iba a aplicar.
En cuanto a la temática me inspiré en el Framboyan, que es un árbol muy hermoso y en esta época esta en su floración y ya en algunos parques pueden verse luciendo su cabellera rojiza y espesa. El concepto del Framboyan pero que al mismo tiempo fuera una mano, esto ya hace la lectura un poco más amplia y puede irse por diferentes caminos , espero que cada cual elija el que más le guste
In the sequence of images, you can see how I worked the different planes, tree-hand, sky, and bushes. I didn't look for a complex composition because I wanted the image to have an effect, to reach the viewer quickly, something more iconic.
En la secuencia de imágenes, se ve como fui trabajando los diferentes planos, árbol- mano , cielo, y arbustos. No busque una composición compleja pues quería que la imagen tuviera un golpe de efecto, que llegara rápido al espectador, algo así como algo más icónico.
As I was shaping the image I was adding new details and giving more intensity to the colors, I started with acrylic which is a technique that dries pretty fast and then to look for more chromatic intensity I retouched the flowers with oil, so that they would have the most intense color and stand out.
A medida que conformé la imagen fuí agregando nuevos detalles y dándole más intensidad a los colores, comencé con acrílico que es una técnica que seca bastante rápido y luego para buscar más intensidad cromática retoque las flores con óleo, para que estás tuviera el color más intenso y destacaran
In the end, the work was mounted in a vacuum in the exhibition, which means that it was mounted directly, with a diaphragm space of the natural color of the wall and on the outside a frame that perfectly integrates with the work.

Al final la obra fue montada al vacío en la exposición, lo que quiere decir que se montó directo, con un espacio de diafragma del color natural de la pared y por fuera un marco que perfectamente se integra a la obra.
