Just got back from a full on "arts and crafts" day with Mariah (my wife; aka "THE BOSS") and our two daughters, Frankie (28) and Elise (23). I think I finished either seven or eight pieces by the time we were finished! I'm happy with that! Elise worked on making candles, Mariah was crafting holiday wreathes for a bazar that we're going to this coming weekend, and Frankie figured out how to screen print and she was screen printing Halloween kitchen towels. This is the second Sunday in a row that we've gathered at Ellie's house for craft day. Seems to work pretty well!
Meanwhile, this ART-FOOL is still limping along! Had a few sales lately, which is neat. Sold a piece on OpenSea a day or two ago, and one on MakersPlace today, plus one or two thru Hic et Nunc and NFT Showroom! (Unfortunately for my economic ledger, I've been buying pieces here and there, as well...several through both H.E.N. and NFT Showroom... I mean, if I can't use art money to buy more art, then what's the damn point???
Anyway, here are the pieces that I've tokenized over the last two or three days. (Notice, if you will, that below I make note of six pieces tokenized in the last couple days, but also wrote above that I finished EIGHT pieces just today! That means I'm making WAY more art than I'm bothering to put up for sale...which is odd, considering some of the WEIRD things (sketches and scrawled bits of mess) that I've chosen to tokenize! For some reason, the pieces that I really LOVE, I tend not to put up for sale right away... It's like I don't want to let go of them so soon...)
Without further....

"Halloween Raars (Big Pumpkin)" by RFY & FEH
[Crayon on reclaimed cardboard with digital embellishments and color.]
I had my granddaughter over for a couple of hours yesterday, and since she's obsessed with Halloween (as it should be), we drew some RAARs! She helped with this one a LITTLE bit... Not much. (Blame me for most of it!)

"Viewer Collage (Animated)"
[White crayon on black paper with digital embellishments, color, and mixed media digital collage. Animated using a free, online site.] I grew up loving View Masters, these plastic "3-D" stereoscopic viewer toys with the little, circular slide reels. I collected the viewers and reels for decades... (My favorite slide reels: "The Little Yellow Dinosaur," "Snoopy and the Red Baron," and "Battle Beyond the Stars!" Old school shit...)

"Within Wheels"
[Liner pen on notebook page with digital embellishments and color.] A cosmic figure, its neon-fuchsia skull surrounded by throbbing pistons of energy, the creature hovered over the landscape, scowling down at all below, for what seemed like ages. All the monsters beneath its gaze whimpered and cried for their mommies until, mercifully, the creature opened it's vast mouth and bathed the entire planet below in glowing green vomit---instantly melting the entire sphere into atoms. It's judgement rendered, it floated on into the empty spaces between worlds.

Hot as shite at the moment. Gonna need some AIR CONDITIONING tonight to get to sleep. (Which is weird, cuz it was raining outside a few minutes ago---but still hot and muggy...well...hot for Washington State. It was maybe in the high 70's (f) today...) (Do you folks love hearing about the weather? I'm old, so weather is an important topic! Weather and artz...)
So.....yeah. I'm calling it a night. Gotta get up early tomorrow and read a bunch of student papers! (It's been busy, working for the Writing Center again!!!) Have a great night (or morning or whatever it is you're having... Just make sure it's great!) Later!
