"Level 12 was Particularly Tough" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)
[Various pens and sticker collage on reclaimed cardboard with digital embellishments and color.] I grew up in a world of Atari, Colecovision, Intellivision, and Odysseys where the video games were usually single screens, often ridiculously difficult, and (to modern audiences) almost unplayable. (Ha!) To me, this looks like a particularly tough video game from about 1980...but it's probably a detailed political or social commentary. (I never know what my subconscious is doing. "Collab with Frankie" by RFY (HF) & Frankie E. Hanson
[Melted crayon on various papers, strange lighting, and photography.] We left some crayons sitting in the sun for too long, and my older daughter, Frankie (mother of the esteemed artist, Felicity Echo Hanson), dripped the melted sticks onto some colored cardstock that we'd bought from the craft store. Afterwards, I took Frankie's impromptu drip art and made a still-life out of it for a photo session. This piece was my favorite of the staged photos! ART! ---Richard F. [Felt pen on knock-off Shrinky Dank material (I made sure to avoid a lawsuit by not being a dink...)] This jewel has the power to protect the wearer from the EVIL EYE.
