Tomorrow morning, Mariah and I are heading south, traveling to Ashland, Oregon, USA, to watch a play at the Shakespeare Festival. (We'll be experiencing TWELFTH NIGHT, which should be entertaining...I hope!) We're staying a couple nights at a '60's retro-themed hotel, with Friday being a complete CHILL day. We're just going to sit by the pool and read or draw or splash around or... That kinda thing. (We had originally planned to stay THREE nights, but we are poor, so we had to snip the final night to save dough. That's the way the world works, sometimes. I ain't complaining, though, cuz I know that many people wouldn't be able to afford to stay even ONE night. I'm counting my happy-cards!)
Mariah and I actually do quite a bit together: concerts, ghost conventions, beach trips, antique store shopping (usually just looking for postcards), and making artz. (Yesterday, we prepared 23 postcards for dropping in the mail... And then I forgot to put them in the MAILBOX this morning! DANG!!!) We know how to have fun, even if we're just sitting in the backyard and listening to tunes while the cats chase bugs in the lawn! (Of course, we're always scanning the skies for UFOs, as well, but that probably goes without saying!) I really don't have much to complain about at the moment.
Place of privilidge... Luck of the draw? Didn't make as many poor decisions as I thought I had in life? Perhaps I wore just the right hairstyle for what I needed at all the important moments?
Happiness, in a random universe, has as much to do with perspective as it does with luck of the draw. Bound in a nutshell, but still king of infinite space! Give me books to read, something to draw on (and with), battery power in my music player, and time with the BOSS, and that's pretty much all I need. All the FANCY STUFF is cake!
Here's your mission, should you choose to accept it: Make something weird, maybe a little bit ugly and a little bit funny, and then send it to someone who will be affected by it! Spread the weird! You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, (but who wants a bunch of flies???) I'll say it again: Spread the weird!

Mariah and I have been out of town for several days. (There will be plenty of evidence to contend with in the near future.) We returned home yesterday, but (after a six-and-a-half hour drive) we needed some unwind time, and I couldn't be buggered to turn on the computer... What ya gonna do?
But now I'm back, and it's time to return to the sharing of the artz! WHO'S WITH ME???
