Hi! 😘 I wrote a new track, the weather was raining outside the other day and I decided to spend this time in the studio, do something new. Recently I got a couple of new synths with Asian folk instruments like Guqin, Pipa, Erhu and so on. If anyone is interested, this synth is called DSK Asian DreamZ & ChineeGuZheng.
So. And I decided to test the Guqin, make melodies in oriental style on it. I often listen to Asian folk music, especially old ones from very ancient films, but also modern Asian folk music. I like the subtlety of the sound of these beautiful instruments. I think you too. 🙃

About Track:
As I said above, I started by just making a melody on Guqin, then when something started to emerge, I decided to add a voice from Anime, I'm not an anime fan, so I don't know many things, I took the first one that I liked, hehe I don't even know what anime she's from. It was me who needed to give the melody some texture right away, after that I began to make bass for the track, I already roughly understood what I needed, so without hesitation I took this viscous bass, as in the best traditions of Japanese trap music.

Usually I use such a bass in such music, where it is the background bass that enlivens the music, gives it space. But what gives even more space specifically in this track is the percussion instruments, 808 I chose the softest one, cut off everything below 40Hz from it and added another kick with a small sidechain to the bass channel. I decided to make hi hats like in phonk music, finely cut them like cabbage with a katana, so to speak, 😀 haha. I also added a clap to the background, which fits perfectly into the overall rhythmic pattern.

After all these manipulations, the track started to come alive and I decided to add more melodies to it, and I decided to make strings, because in the beginning I tried wind instruments and they directed the music in some other direction, more Arabic sound, although it sounded pretty good too. But since I already made a Japanese theme in the track, I decided to take guitars, they are very well combined with plucked musical instruments.
DSK Asian DreamZ:
I won’t say that this plugin is cool, but if you process it, you can achieve a good sound, it’s just that there are not many good synths of these Asian instruments, so you have to choose from what is. If you are interested, try more and synth - #ChineeGuZheng. I also make music on it, it's really cool and it sounds very clean and rich.
I also added different effects to the track that gave the track its charm, I added the sound of a subtle sound of a katana, different background effects that harmoniously fit into the overall picture. A simple and moody track, just to get high and fly. 🚀
