I hope that is impressive enough to keep you stay at my post XD Alright, let's head to our main topic.
Below are some of the finishing steps for my current drawing, aka my cover picture for my fiction. I forgot to take shoot at the first sketch, however. I am sorry for this inexperienced.
So you are seeing my lining step after sketch completion. I also shaded the girl's body. If you are confused, please scroll down to the end for this idea's inspiration <3
I added blanket's wrinkles as well. At first, I intended to make a blooming background. Nevertheless, the story of this idea in my head took place in bedroom. So there I went with the sheet stuffs.
Next, I shaded the wrinkles too, then made a random hatching background. Since it came to me in a dark vibe, I think hatching tone would fit it better.
I scanned it on Ibis Paint app posterior to having darkened the outside hatches. There is no scan function on Ibis at all, but whenever you add a photo to its library to edit, a guide board will appear to show you the properties of the added one in case you choose B&W mode. You can adjust those numbers easily by rolling the bars. English meanings in orders: Black, White, and Middle. Usually I only change the black and white number, the blacker it is the clearer your linearts appear. While white can be fine to your base tone so I will lower it a little bit. Ready for the result?
Don't ask me why it hasn't looked like a scanned yet, just simply because I chose grayish base tone for my next steps.
You can guess, I added another layer upon my original and set it in "soft light mode". So that when we paint, it won't rewrite our lineart, but more similar to a soft covering
In final, I curved some red threads, minimalized some daisies on her complexion in order not to turn this piece into a creepy one
