Greetings, friends! I hope you are doing very well. Normally, I don't usually share or show the practices I do in my free time for several reasons; the main one is that I'm embarrassed to show something that turns out badly, haha. Usually, the comic style is not my forte, but I want to practice it a bit; maybe I'll learn something to add to my digital anime style. For this drawing, I used an old photo of a friend who is now in the military. It's been a long time since I heard from her, but when I started on Hive, I did a couple of drawings of her. I tried to make her look as similar as possible, completing the parts that aren't visible and putting her in a military uniform. The challenge is as follows: I'm sure that with just a pencil it will look acceptable, but I have a marker that I bought for Inktober and never used. This drawing material is my nemesis; it's been a very long time since I've done any ink lettering. Ink doesn't give second opportunities; if the stroke is shaky, it will show a lot; if it's slow, it will show a lot... and if it looks bad, it will show even more. I'm so used to CTRL+Z, XD... but well, I will add details experimentally; the goal is to practice... anyway, I'm sharing my Sunday practice with you.

Normalmente no suelo compartir o mostrar las prácticas que hago en mi tiempo libre por varios motivos; el principal es que me da pena mostrar algo que quede mal, jaja. Normalmente el estilo cómic no es mi fuerte, pero quiero practicarlo un poco; tal vez aprenda algo para agregar a mi estilo anime digital. Para este dibujo, usé una foto algo antigua de una amiga que ahora es militar. Tengo mucho tiempo sin saber de ella, pero cuando inicié en Hive, hice un par de dibujos suyos. Traté de hacerla lo más parecida posible, completando las partes que no se ven y poniéndole un uniforme militar. El reto es el siguiente: estoy seguro de que solo con lápiz quedará aceptable, pero tengo un marcador que compré para el Inktober y nunca usé. Este material de dibujo es mi némesis; tengo muchísimo tiempo sin hacer un rotulado en tinta. La tinta no da segundas oportunidades: si el trazo es inseguro, se notará mucho; si es lento, se notará mucho... y si queda mal, se notará aún más. Estoy tan acostumbrado al CTRL+Z, XD... pero bueno, agregaré detalles de forma experimental; el objetivo es practicar... Bien, les comparto mi práctica del día domingo.

It's used to remove excess graphite; if you're not careful, it can erase the drawing. I lightened it as much as possible before redrawing everything and adding details. At this point, I wanted to give it a bit more volume, and since we are experimenting... I went to my backyard and found a small piece of charcoal from a somewhat recent campfire. Now that I think about it, I should do a drawing with charcoal; I'll keep it in mind for next Sunday. I smudged it with my finger and added some highlights using the eraser.
