A hole in our inner self is something that although at first glance is not appreciated, when we detail our being in front of the mirror we observe that immense emptiness left by the loss of those people who are really important in our lives.
Un hueco en nuestro interior es algo que aunque a simple vista no se aprecia, cuando detallamos nuestro ser frente al espejo observamos ese vacío inmenso que dejan las pérdidas de esas personas que realmente son importante en nuestras vidas.
I recently lost a very special person in my life and although I try to remain outwardly calm and normal, many times when I look in the mirror I see a void so big that it really overwhelms me and I can't appreciate my own reflection.
Hace poco tiempo perdí a un ser sumamente especial en mi vida y aunque trato de mantenerme en el exterior algo tranquila y normal muchas veces cuando me veo en el espejo observe un vacío tan grande que realmente me abruma y no logro apreciar mi propio reflejo.
This feeling is what led me to make "Emptiness in the Mirror", I know that many may not have lost a mother... but they lost a loved one... and although we are told or encouraged in different ways, the feeling of emptiness during the first weeks is really overwhelming.
Esta sensación es lo que me llevo a realizar “Vacío en el Espejo”, sé que muchos tal vez no perdieron una madre… pero perdieron a algún ser querido… y aunque nos digan o nos alienten de distintas formas, la sensación de vacío durante las primeras semanas es realmente abrumadora.
The whole process was done in photoshop CC2014 and going back to old habits I worked almost everything in a single layer, except for the hair and obviously the reflection of the character in the mirror. Previously they told me that they would like me to show a little more detail the process of creating the painting, so in addition to some moments of development I will leave a quick video of the painting process.
Todo el proceso fue realizado en photoshop CC2014 y volviendo a antiguas costumbres trabaje casi todo en una sola capa, a excepción del cabello y obviamente es reflejo del personaje en el espejo. Anteriormente me dijeron que les gustaría que mostrara un poco más a detalle el proceso de creación de la pintura, así que además de algunos momentos del desarrollo les dejare un video rápido del proceso de pintura.
EL video dura 4:40 min pero todo el proceso me tomo cerca de 4 horas.
