So earlier this week, I created this artwork inspired by one of my favorite songs fromCeline Dion, Courage. The song was about the harsh reality of losing a lover and how it affects the daily life of the person who had lost someone. This song was dedicated to her husband who passed on some years ago and I felt inspired to create something beautiful out of it.
The concept for this piece was a woman sitting alone and her reflection shows her lost lover passionately holding her. Bring the idea to life was a tough job and that's why this piece is probably on of the most challenging works I've created lately. I initial had the idea of her lover reflecting in the water, but due to space and how it didn't look so appealing, I decided to go with mirror, which was landscape and had enough space for both lovers and a cat ( cat model: my late cat, Tyga).
The illuminating light off the block heads is also one of the cool features i use in my recent works and I love how it basically light up the room especially the red from the woman, to show that in reality, she's the only one there.
This piece was created on the autodesk sketchbook app and was made mostly using the scribble technique. I hope you love it.
Here's the lyrics to the song.
