The Dangerous Plant
This time I did something different, I call this Cutout Digital Collage :D - as the name suggests, the works are created one by one as assets which will later be edited using photo editing software. The first time I made a work like this was inspired by a multimedia artist who drew separately on each of his works to be used as illustrations, it made it easier for artists to freely revise their work, especially for artists like me who are heavy on manual work which is different with pure digital works.
Here I will explain how I made this work, and lately I often think about this technique in making works, besides being able to make it easier for me, it is also relatively short processing time compared to traditional illustrations.
#1 - Drawing Assets
The first thing I do is imagine the illustration that I will make, then make a list of what assets are needed to create a work, this is like an assets in an RPG game project.
Cannabonsai
this is the main object, a dangerous plant which is then closely guarded.
Foolers Armed Guard
A very professional guard figure in guarding :D
Cell
Well, this is the location where dangerous plants are imprisoned.
Wall & Floor
Drawing textures for walls and floors.
All assets are then scanned for later editing to photo editing software
#2 - Editing
after being scanned, all assets are edited in such a way.
