Hello everyone dear community, we continue experimenting with skin tones, this new start in the platform I have dedicated myself to change the color palette and the drawing style I used to use, getting out of my comfort zone has allowed me to see in a better way the whole range of possibilities that exist in digital art, although I still feel rooted to my previous way of drawing, in each new work I try to apply new things and in this short period of time I have observed a remarkable improvement compared to the works of the past. I am applying a greater variation in skin tones, a better use of brightness without exaggerating and the source of lights, aspects that I used to not master very well.

Hola a todos querida comunidad, continuamos experimentando con tonalidades de piel, este nuevo inicio en la plataforma me he dedicado ha cambiar la paleta de colores y el estilo de dibujo que solía usar, el salirme de mi zona de confort me ha permitido ver de una mejor manera todo el rango de posibilidades que existe en el arte digital, aunque todavía me siento arraigado a mi anterior manera de dibujar, en cada obra nueva trato de aplicar cosas nuevas y en este corto periodo de tiempo he observado una notable mejoría a comparación a las obras del pasado. Estoy aplicando un mayor variación en las tonalidades de la piel, un mejor uso de los brillos sin llegar a exagerar y la fuente de las luces, aspectos que no solía dominar muy bien.

For this delivery I decided to make a beautiful Asian girl, an exotic oriental beauty, with a somewhat shy and innocent look, accompanied by a subtle smile showing a little of her teeth. Here I wanted to experiment with warm and cold tones that will be reflected throughout the character, from her hair to her skin, it was a challenge to find a balance of these colors because they are complementary and they cancel each other out.

Para esta entrega decidí realizar una hermosa chica asiática, una exótica belleza oriental, con una mirada algo tímida e inocente, acompañada de una sutil sonrisa mostrando un poco de su dentadura. Aca quise experimentar con tonalidades cálidas y frías que se reflejarán en todo el personaje, desde su cabello, hasta la piel, fue todo un reto encontrar un balance de dichos colores ya que al ser complementarios estos se cancelan.

Explaining a little the process of the drawing, I started first with the sketch, trying to recreate the expression of innocence that I wanted, in the sketch I demarcated as best as possible the areas of lights and shadows, this to help me later when applying them, I proceeded to dull a little the layer of the sketch and in a new one I began to place the base color of the skin, Here I chose different light and slightly saturated shades of beige, pink, red, some yellow and a faint blue, with these colors on, I began to blend and mix them to get a smooth finish, at this stage I was using the multiply blend method to add shadows, this is a slow process as it consists of placing continuous layers of shadows until you get the desired tone.

Explicando un poco el proceso del dibujo, empece primero con el boceto, tratando de recrear la expresión de inocencia que quería, en el boceto demarque lo mejor posible las zonas de luces y sombras, esto para ayudarme posteriormente a la hora de aplicarlas, procedí a opacar un poco la capa del boceto y en una nueva empecé a colocar el color base de la piel, acá elegí diferentes tonalidades claras y poco saturadas de beige, rosa, rojo, algo de amarillo y un azul tenue, con dichos colores puestos, empecé a difuminarlos y mezclarlos para obtener un acabado suave, en esta etapa fui usando el método de mezcla multiplicar para añadir sombras, este es un proceso lento ya que consiste en ir colocando continuas capas de sombras hasta obtener el tono deseado.

We continue drawing, here I put some pink tones on the cheeks and nose to give a little more vividness to the skin, I also started to detail a little the expressions of the face, like the eyes, mouth and nose, but something very faint, I usually leave this part last, now I do the hair of the girl, despite being a black hair I added small flashes of yellow and blue light to help me create more volume and mobility in it, blur and mix these colors to give it softness. Now I continued with the finish of the work, I accentuated a little more the shadows and placed the areas of brightness, the lighting on the face of the character gives life to it, so I like to leave it for the last, I take much emphasis on the lighting of the eyes and nose. And finally I finished detailing a little more the hair, placing small strokes of hair to give it a little more realism.

Seguimos dibujando, acá coloque algunis tonos rosas en las mejillas y nariz para darle un poco más de vistosidad a la piel, además empecé a detallar un poco las expresiones del rosro, como los ojos, boca y nariz, pero algo muy tenue, suelo dejar esta parte de ultimo, pase ahora realizar el cabello de la chica, a pesar de ser un cabello negro le agregué destellos pequeños de luz amarilla y azul para ayudarme a crear un mayor volumen y movilidad en el mismo, difumine y mezcle dichos colores para darle suavidad. Ahora prosegui con el acabado de la obra, acentue un poco más las sombras y coloque las zonas de brillos, la iluminación en el rostro del personaje le da la vida al mismo, por eso me gusta déjarlo para la último, tomo mucho énfasis en la iluminación de los ojos y la nariz. Y para finalizar terminó detallando un poco más el cabello, colocándole pequeños trazos de cabello para darle un poco más de realismo.
