It's hard to do much writing with a 2yo around (babysitting)... but I can work on pictures and artwork.
Here's my favorite result of the following picture, taken in my garden in Wiltshire, England, in 2007 - a "near miss" when it comes to focus and depth of field. It's the flower of a leek or onion (I can't remember which.) - Image available at RedBubble.
First, I took the image to Lunapic to get some artistic renders...

I also took some of them and used the kaleidoscope feature on Lunapic... (followed with a "seamless" map on Gimp to make it work on RedBubble products.)

Finally, I took some of the images to Gimp and use its kaleidoscope settings.
