One afternoon, Hypersensitivosaurus was chilling at the seaside.
Your favorite raptor had dozed off and lost track of time.
And when he woke up from the sound of pterodactyls, diving for French fries in mayonaise, he was shocked by the look of his feet.
It wasn't the yellow nails that appalled him, it was the redness...
It took him a while, to realize that his feet hadn't been sunburnt and that they had always been this red. The color just really stood out in comparison to the yellow, blue and white all around him.
This super short story came to me spontaneously, just now, by looking at this unfinished painting. I had just gotten started painting - playing around for a minute of 5 to 10 - and realized that it was time to cycle to my first soccer game with friends in over a month.
After returning from the game, it was dinner time and after dinner I was too tired to continue painting.
I couldn't help but like the painting though in its current state.
I will take some time to see if I'll make any additions.
FYI: It was based on the drawing that I talked about and showed in yesterday's write up A ( Love ) Letter to Hypersensitivosaurus. Click on that post and scroll down a little to see the entire drawing that was based on a photo.
In other words. This is a painting based on a drawing based on a photo ;<)
I kind of mistreated my paintbrushes and even put some paint on the canvas with my bare fingers ( I love to break rules! ) but I must say that I like the result. Especially the look and feel of the sea and - of course - the dino feet.
TO BE CONVINUED...
This Dino needs his beauty sleep to be fresh for his 80th birthday.
