Good night friends!!!
Hello and warm greetings to all of you who are fans of the #Splinterlands game.
I want to show you the drawing that I have created for the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 271 . To make this drawing I used Corel Painter and something else in PS, in fact I made a video of the process with some difficulties but I did not lose any of the recording and I will be able to edit it, although it is a bit annoying to record a little and then another little to save for prevention .
Last week I was absent so I missed the contest, but this week I'll get in on time. I hope you like the result of this drawing, to select the character I was going to make I opened the folder of the Rebelion characters, since I was also selecting from there the character I will make for this week's social media contest.
On this occasion I have selected one of the Splinter of Death characters as inspiration, since those are one of my favorite Splinters. I don't think there are much changes with respect to the original character. I could have made it a little darker maybe, but well , that's for another time.
I started in Corel Painter but well, there was an electrical failure and the program did not auto save so when it closed, I lost that part of the process. Although well when I recovered the video it had been saved there, I just had to place the video in Ps and Rasterize the layer to recover the sketch
😪😨.
After saving the frustrated beginning of the drawing I proceeded to make a base of the colors, the character has slightly saturated colors so I have used those same colors but a little more desaturated, and some a little darker.
The drawing was taking a little more shape, I had done some details, I intensified some things and I also did something in the background but I didn't want to spend too much time there, I also wanted the sword to have a kind of aura.
I'm detailing a little more on the armor, I added some shine and so on, I hadn't done much on the character's face. In addition to that I have also done a little more on the sword. Ohh also with all that process I have covered the lines of the sketch a little more, well you can see that in the video because everything stayed on the same layer.
Finally the time came to make the character's face and hair, also as I progressed and if I saw something that I didn't like and I tried to improve it, it's part of the process. The skull at this moment didn't look so evil I think.
To finish I have decided to change some things in general to the drawing, I have also changed the hand since it looked bad before, the idea was to make it open as if I were holding the sword but with magic so it should not be completely closed. I have also I adjusted the colors, detailed everything a little more and had the drawing ready.
