¡Saludos amigos! Saben hace par de días fui invitada por Hive account@ismaelgranados a un concurso propuesto por Hive account@zottone444 el cual consiste en crear la mascota para el nuevo token de PGM, la verdad no estaba muy segura que podría ser una buena mascota así que pensé en las mascotas comunes de los hogares (perros y gatos) pero no quería hacer un animal simplemente, entonces pensé en una mascota robótica muy comunes en las películas futuristas, de acuerdo a eso comencé la realización de varios bocetos siendo mi favorito este par de esferitas de tres patas, no estoy segura si encaja aunque el concurso era bastante abierto y no tenía especificaciones así que creo que podría gustar, sin más que comentar les muestro el proceso.

Como bocetee varias poses me fue muy difícil decidirme por solo una de ellas por eso le muestro dos de las versiones realizadas para este proyecto, mi idea para con esta criatura es que fuera magnético (la que no sabe nada de robótica) quiero decir, que se mantuviera unido mediante algún sistema que no fuera mecánico (como por tubos o cables) y no se me ocurrió mejor forma de manifestar esta idea que realizar el siguiente gif, donde se pueda ver como la cabeza del robot simplemente levita sobre el resto del cuerpo.

Greetings friends! You know a couple of days ago I was invited by Hive account@ismaelgranados to a contest proposed by Hive account@zottone444 which consists of creating the mascot for the new PGM token, the truth was not really sure what could be a good mascot so I thought about the common household pets (dogs and cats) but I didn't want to make an animal simply, so I thought of a robotic pet very common in futuristic movies, according to that I started making several sketches being my favorite this pair of three-legged spheres, I'm not sure if it fits although the contest was quite open and had no specifications so I think I could like it, without further comment I show you the process.

My idea for this creature is that it should be magnetic (the one that doesn't know anything about robotics) I mean, that it should be held together by some system that wasn't mechanical (like tubes or cables) and I couldn't think of a better way to show this idea than making the following gif, where you can see how the head of the robot simply levitates over the rest of the body.

Como boceteé varias poses me fue muy difícil decidirme por solo una de ellas por eso le muestro dos de las versiones realizadas para este proyecto, les mostrare el proceso de una de ellas, pero ambas comparten el mismo proceso así que espero que sea de su agrado, lo primero fue hacer el boceto lineal el cual había dibujado previamente en mi cuaderno de bocetos, para identificar la mascota he colocado las siglas PGM en una de las tapas del casco del robot.

As I sketched several poses it was very difficult for me to decide for only one of them so I show you two of the versions made for this project, I will show you the process of one of them, but both share the same process so I hope you like it, the first thing was to make the linear sketch which I had previously drawn in my sketchbook, to identify the mascot, I have placed the initials PGM on one of the robot's helmet covers.

Posteriormente agregue una base de color, en este punto no estaba decidida si usar algo parecido a un metal pintado de blanco o metálico brillante, pero me he decidido por la segunda opción por eso he usado una base de un tono grisáceo.

Later I added a colored base, at this point I was undecided whether to use something like a white painted metal or shiny metallic, but I decided for the second option so I used a base of a grayish tone.

Luego he seleccionado un tono más claro y con un pincel con textura al agua he comenzado a colorear algunas luces provenientes desde el lado izquierdo y luego he hecho lo mismo, pero con un tomo mucho más oscuro del lado opuesto de las luces, repetí el proceso hasta que los colores estuviesen armoniosamente mezclados, también he añadido unas luces reflejos en un tono azulado en la parte más oscura, para simular algo de brillo.

Then I selected a lighter tone and with a water textured brush I started to color some lights coming from the left side and then I did the same, but with a much darker volume on the opposite side of the lights, I repeated the process until the colors were harmoniously blended, I also added some highlights in a bluish tone in the darkest part, to simulate some brightness.

Para la pantalla que refleja su rostro me he decidido por una un poco más vintage de superficie curvada con un fondo negro y con pixeles verdes que reflejan las diversas emociones del pequeño robot, para hacerlas un poco más realista he dibujado algunos brillos sobre su superficie.

For the screen that reflects his face I have decided for a more vintage curved surface with a black background and green pixels that reflect the various emotions of the little robot, to make them a little more realistic I have drawn some glows on its surface.
