Andi and Arie present a door and its frame.
We have decided to make the whole system in-house.
Three 4cm x 8cm metal tubes connected together create the 24cm x 4cm element used to create the frame
The frame is scheduled to be painted.
The door handles are also hand made. Here are three bent rebars welded together as one door handle. This is our first proof of concept. Proportions need to be fine-tuned.
This piece has the facture of the sculptures created at Gas Station, the alternative art space located at the corner of Avenue B and Second Street in New York City in the 1980s.
We are bringing this handle to be silver-plated by a Celuk silversmith today. The current plan is to silver-plate all door hardware.
