Sometimes being a high achiever career wise comes at a cost too. My father is/was one. Always climbing on corporate leader ladders. Had a dream to build beautiful luxury house. He made it, owns a property wort well over a million, doesn't even have a loan on it any more. Being this ambitions came with a downide though. He was rarely home and when he was he spent it more with his friends having a drink or bicycle championships on the weekends. In the end it lead to a divorce with my mom and family moving out. He currently lives alone in his mansion and is not that happy with all of his choices in life.
I guess the moral of the story is that there needs to be a balance between career high acheving and family. Sometimes earing a shit ton of money comes at the cost of something else.
