В кінці березня 2011 року ми опинилися в Чернігові, затрималися в місті і зустріли там вечір. Чернігів сам по собі дуже старовинне та гарне місто. Напевно, зараз він став ще кращим, давно там не був. Останнім часом в Україні, завдяки реформі децентралізації в місцевих бюджетах стало залишатися набагато більше коштів, які спрямовуються на розвиток інфраструктури, наприклад, будівництво доріг. Це добре видно по районних центрах Київської області - у всіх них почали ремонтуватися і укладатися нові тротуари, чого не траплялося багато десятків років до цього.
At the end of March 2011, we found ourselves in Chernihiv, stayed in the city and met the evening there. Chernihiv itself is a very ancient and beautiful city. Probably, now he has become even better, he has not been there for a long time. Recently, in Ukraine, due to the reform of decentralization, local budgets have much more funds left for the development of infrastructure, such as road construction. This is clearly seen in the district centers of Kyiv region - all of them began to repair and lay new sidewalks, which did not happen many decades before.
Так ось і місто на Десні гарне і величне. За віком він трохи поступається Києву, в Чернігові також безліч стародавніх церков, що прикрашають пейзаж столиці Сіверської землі.
So the city on the Desna is beautiful and majestic. In terms of age, it is slightly inferior to Kyiv, in Chernihiv there are also many ancient churches that adorn the landscape of the capital of the Seversky land.
У місті збереглися будівлі 19-го і початку 20-го століть. Багато з них є пам'ятками архітектури. Побудовані будинки в псевдоросійському, неоготичному стилі, а також деякі в стилі українського бароко та українського модерну. Також в Чернігові велика кількість парків і скверів – це тихе, спокійне місто.
