A political and Constitutional crisis took place in Pakistan, from 3 April 2022 to 10 April 2022 when, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri rejected a no confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in an expected meeting to vote in it, claiming to be from a foreign country involved in regime change Pakistan's constitution contrary to Article 5. [1] Shortly thereafter, Khan said in a televised speech for advising President Arif Alvi to dissolve the National Assembly. Alawi heeded Khan’s advice under Article 58 of the Constitution. This led to a constitutional crisis by the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) which declared the situation unfolding suo motu, because effectively Imran Khan led a constitutional coup.
