Heyho guys, art lovers, traveller's and readers. Hope all of you are doing well.
Today I have a story to my #art. Yes, its my first #freewrite trying. I think I am not the best writer but I wanted to try to show you guys one of my own fantasy stories. After creating my story I used #dreamsai for creating my individual #Artwork to this #story.
Normally I only show my art, but #Halloween is coming and I think its refreshing to have a story for the artworks. Hope you will like it.
I call my story:
gods are assholes
Disclaimer:
this is a pure fictional fantasy story, please do not take it too seriously. Thank you.
Preface:
My inspiration of this story is based on countless #alien movies, but also #mythologies about gods, space, splatter movies and more, which I combined in a #fictional story, since Halloween is coming up.
Story:
"where am I?"
I asked myself as I found myself on the cold floor of the museum of ancient history.
"oh yes, Jack and I were going to perform the ritual. But what happened? Why don't I remember?"
Completely befuddled, I tried to get to my feet, but it was difficult. It was as if I had been robbed of my strength. I staggered and swayed as if I were drunk, but Jack and I didn't drink anything. After we had bought a relic from a very old and almost unknown culture at an auction, we set off for the museum. We searched for months to locate the relic. The relic seemed interesting and promising to get fame and prestige in the world of archaeology, to prove that it exists and even works as described in ancient writings would make us unspeakably rich.
"ah, my head hurts, what happened after we entered the pharaoh's room?"
It seemed as if I had a film break, I grabbed my head, because it hurt.
"ow, damn it, what is it?"
I grabbed my head, but there was something, something I couldn't place. It felt smooth, almost like a snake's body. But that couldn't be, could it?
"aw, my head is buzzing a lot. Why is the light off?"
Still in a daze, I tried to orient myself, but it was almost impossible in the dimmed room.
"Jack?" I called in a hoarse voice. "Jack, where are you? Are you okay?"
I heard noises, but I couldn't place them. A murmur, rustle and giggle.
"Jack!"
I called again, but there was no answer. I slowly walked toward the light, which I dimly saw in another room. As I got closer, I caught sight of Jack. I also saw something else, monstrous and indescribable. A being, which was so much bigger, stood or crouched in front of Jack. But Jack didn't seem to be afraid, Jack didn't even seem to be himself anymore. I rubbed my eyes as if I wanted to wake up from a bad dream, but it was anything but a dream.
"you should serve your god, human child!"
A deep, almost inhuman voice spoke. Did it mean me or Jack?
I hid to watch the scenario between the monster and Jack. When I noticed that this monster looked exactly like the drawings we found during our excavations.
"it can't be, can it?"
I whispered softly to myself.
"In the ancient writings and books, wasn't this creature a god? Is it real? No, it can't be real! Am I losing my mind?"
The monster looked like it was stroking Jack's head, until I finally took a closer look. It wasn't stroking him, it looked like it was pulling tentacles out of his head. I shook my head violently, afraid I must be losing my mind, because this can't be true. When a snake-like tentacle body wrapped itself around my neck.
"Humans, good for nothing. Deformities of an experiment."
Again I heard this voice. But where did it come from?
"you really wonder where i am? Right in your head!"
My heart was beating like wild. In my rising panic I looked around and grabbed an antique sword, which belonged to the museum objects and was not far away from me. Slowly I realized that the whole museum was destroyed. All the glass cases were broken, which in this case was good for me to get a weapon quickly.
"Since Jack does not react to my call, he must surely be under the influence of this creature,"
I thought to myself. I crept around the two, my plan was to attack this creature from behind. But it was not that easy.
When I stepped closer and wanted to go over to the attack I recognized only in which hell scenario I found myself again. Jack was no longer Jack. It seemed as if he had transformed into something else. The other god-creature, which was at least 10 meters tall and emitted a horrible smell, seemed to have located me with a dangerous grin, which was peppered with razor-sharp teeth. Just as I was about to attack, I petrified. It was as if I could no longer control my body. The being that was once Jack turned to me and I now realized that it was a stupid plan to perform such ancient rituals. Even more stupid to try to attack them.
"Your transformation will soon be complete,"
said this unknown voice.
"then you too will be a slave, one of my personal slaves."
I resisted this thought. But an invisible power had taken control of my body and mind.
"Are all gods like you?"
I asked the being out of desperation.
"Gods? Is that your word for us? We are ancient beings who survive space and time and invade and destroy worlds, if that's what you mean, yes, all your gods are like me. I am still the friendly one who will not only kill you but use you. Your body will serve as a host. Thus I transform your dna into that of my species."
This being was clearly the being that was shown on all the old murals and was considered a deity in the legends and history. Even as a good one. But now I realize that these old stories were not to be interpreted quite as assumed. Before I lose my mind completely I have to activate the attached time bomb. Now I understand Jack's doubts and why he had such a contingency plan. I thought he was just a little crazy. Fighting with my own mind, I just managed to activate the trigger before this alien parasite took over my body completely. What happened after that only God knows...
What I realized in the last breath of my consciousness:
Gods are just assholes and not human friendly.
