Current mutation is under survival in the unforgiving ecosystem of crypto; it is unlike everything else in life. Another season in this space appears to represent another Darwinian test: adapt to survive or perish. One moment, it is all about chasing block rewards; the next, it is about evolving strategies to survive market manipulations, regulations, and speculative hysteria. The ground constantly seems to shift underneath you.
Every single moment there is evolution. Evolve means truly to change-the more accurate description is transformation. Old skins of idealism must constantly be shed to make place for their newest armor formed from skepticism, bruises of experience, and bitterness of not-so-pleasant failures. With each rug pull, every crash of a so-called "too big to fail" project, and every shock spike of coins nobody ever saw coming, the lesson has been learned over and over: there is no static crypto identity; only evolution.
Thus, I metamorphosed from a dreamer, hopeful among visions created by decentralization, to a more cynical observer who knows that ideals are sold cheap for profits. But the mutation has also left me the makeshift of that early kindling, the starry belief that somewhere, in this volatile universe, lay possibilities for systems more just and freer than today's. Mutation does not erase the past; it metamorphoses into fuel for the present.
Crypto is the crucible, and my latest mutation serves as evidence for the self being remade numerous times in the fire. And maybe tomorrow, I will be changing again, into something wiser or harder, or probably gentler. In the game of uncertainty, mutation is no option-it is a price of life. But the most important thing is that I don't want to mutations become a fraud like many people do in this world of cryptocurrency, which is full of freedom.
