Would you like to swop? Sometimes, on a difficult morning when my phone alarm is determined to ruin my mood, I imagine trading days with someone else—maybe the cheerful woman I see at the bus stop or the small child with laughter for breakfast. Would I finally understand what makes them smile so easily, or why they never look tired no matter the weather? Maybe I’d walk in different shoes and learn that everyone, no matter how perfect things seem on the outside, has a battle they’re fighting.
A part of me is curious, but another part wonders if I’d just long for home. There’s comfort in my routine, even when it feels boring or tough. But who knows? A simple swap, even for one sunrise, might remind me to pause and appreciate my own journey—flaws, struggles, and all.
If you could swop days with anyone, who would it be and why?
