I opened the door and the sight that met me was nothing to write home about. I’ve only been away for three weeks but it seemed the dust and dirt couldn’t even wait for me to be fully away before settling in and taking my space.
I stared in disbelief at the amount of dust and dirt in my space. Indeed there’s no vacuum in life. I wondered where they all came in from. The windows and doors are all securely locked. Where could they have snuck in from?
Well, the deed has been done. A load of cleaning awaits me. Where do I start from? Maybe from the start. I took off my clothes and changed into my work clothes. Three hours of sweeping and cleaning. Arranging and washing.
I couldn’t have settled in to the dust hence I had to do the needful. After long hours of working and cleaning. I heaved a sigh of relief.
The house looked cleaned and now welcoming. I changed all the sheets and tidied everything. I cleaned all the dirts, leaving no trace whatsoever. Now, it’s home sweet home.
