A vat of wine
In the early hours of that day, Chima passed through the corridors, unusually holding a Vat of wine. Rather than going to the hut as usual, he went straight to Papa Chike's house, calling and telling him to come immediately.
The way he was shouting made me look through the window, and behold, I saw a Vat of wine with him.A very big vat of wine for that matter. When Papa Chike answered and eventually came to meet him, he took him straight to his corridor, where he had put out two stools, and told him that the palm wine was fresh from the farm.
Chima smiled and sat down while giving the vat to Papa Chike to pour for himself. He excitedly poured some into his jar and lifted the same for a toast with Chima. They happily observed a toast while they sat down quietly sipping the wine.
After a long silence between the two, while sipping the wine intermittently, Papa Chike exclaimed "he who brings wine brings life" Chima, "As you have done today, may it continue without ending" and the two of them shouted (Isee) meaning "so shall it be" and they happily parted to their houses to continue with their activities.
