Going down the memory lane of how we spent our youthful age and knowing that we can't do most of the things we did then due to our age is one unpleasant fact about getting old. In his youthful age, Mr. Abhijit never joked with culture and traditions of his people, he was always there for all festivals of the people. Even at 78, Mr. Abhijit still dresses in the required costumes and attends most of their festivals but no longer as a participant but as an observer and elder. The Holi festival is around the corner and as usual, Mr. Abhijit has started making preparations towards attending. This is a unique festival to Mr. Abhijit not only because of the event-filled nature but also its significance. The Holi festival is often referred to as the festival of colours and signifies the burning and destruction of Holika ( the demoness). While going for the Holi festival, the people often cover their faces in paints of different colours. The festival involves many enjoyable activities, however the most interesting part is the throwing of coloured powder on each other.
On the faithful day of the festival, Mr. Abhijit dressed up and went to the hall where the festival is taking place. Getting entaintained by the events of the day, Mr. Abhiit was taking down the memory lane, and was just remembering how the festival was done in his days which is a bit different from the current way of doing it. Remembering all the memorable things he did during the festival in his times, he was all smiling to himself. Afterwhich he felt fulfilled for promoting and making sure most of this festivals have been imbibed in the present generation. However, he hoped that it continues even after his time on earth.
