Hello Hive friends and readers. Happy Thursday all, my mid week is officially over. Three full days down, four more to go. So far I have had some distractions get in the way of my grind plan for the week I will tell you about.
In this article I will tell you my delivery driving goal this week. Basically I'm going to bring you along where I'm currently at. I'll also explain some recent happenings that is testing me as a blogger.
My goal for the week
Alright I'm off from my full-time job this week and I'm using this opportunity to grind at my DoorDash job. Since I get paid time off from my full-time job I'm double dipping you can say. I did well last week working both jobs. Here is my delivery stats from last week.
My primary goal is to exceed $1200 this week driving. My previous personal best is just over $1000. I will need to login in some hours, my first thought when I manifested this goal was to hit 90 hours of driving this week. This goal started on Monday and will end Sunday. So far here are my stats for the week (Monday thru Wednesday).
Let me take you how I got there so far. I have had some set backs that have taken me off the road. All in all though I'm still in good position to meet or exceed my goal.
Monday
This day is so far my most productive. For me though it was slightly below average if you calculate the hourly rate. I did receive $22.00 in cash tips that aren't tracked by the App. It was successful in that I didn't have any distractions that caused me not to drive.
The day started slow and I almost thought about taking a break. I'm glad I didn't because when I had those thought it picked up some. It really didn't pick up until around lunch time. Here's the stats:
Tuesday
I had a lot of distractions this day. I already knew I had two things I had to do. That was take my English Bulldog to the vet and my son to school. It was nothing too serious for the vet visit, Watson just had an ear infection. Let me flex my little friend.
This was not the only distraction. I was going to take him into the Vet around 7:30 a.m. but that didn't happen. The drain in my basement had backed up the night before so I had to make an appointment with a plumber. I tried my best to remedy the problem myself hoping I could cancel the plummer appointment.
I woke up that morning and things looked good as it resided. I took a shower and it didnt come up. I will say I took a sailer type shower though. Afterwards I turned on washing machine downstairs and the drain backed up again :(
The plummer showed up around 9:00 a.m. and was there for a few hours. I got Watson to the Vet shortly before noon. Thankfully it was not busy there. After the appointment I dropped the dog off at home and my son at school. I started the day delivery driving shortly after 1:00 p.m. Here's my stats for Tuesday:
I did three seperate dashes totaling 14 deliveries and logging in just over 5 hours. When dashing sometimes you run into some story worthy deliveries. I had one of those today and let me share.
So I had a shop and delivery order. Basically you go into store and pick up the requested items for the customer and pay for them with a delivery driving card. Here are some screen shots and pictures I took for this transactions.
I guess some people are too embarrassed to pick things up themselves. It could have been more of an ordinary delivery if he hadn't had weird delivery notes and hadn't sent me a DM. I'm not going to lie I laughed when I seen the notes. I'll poke my head out 😂 I'm thinking Troy wanted to make sure his juice got delivered promptly right?
So I had to ask a store clerk where the boy toys were located. Rest assured I showed clerk my phone and told them I was picking up for a customer. She didn't laugh but she did have a grinning smile.
I get to address and the door to building is prompted open. There is no buzzer to let people in so now I understand why it was propped opened. I dropped off, took picture for delivery confirmation, and headed to the exit of building. I'm glad I didn't see him poke his head out. Normally I DM the customer thanking them and tell them to enjoy their day. I didn't on this delivery.
Wednesday
The day once again started out slow but picked up later on. I didn't have too many distractions today. All in all not too bad of a delivery day. Here are the stats:
Blogging being tested
Alright I like being part of the Hive community here. I've wanted to come here for quite some time. The primary reason I finally came over was that read.cash was getting really quite. I missed some old faces.
I think it was this past Sunday I decided to write an article on read.cash I had no idea I would be upvoted several times by the random rewarder. It did not take long and everyone (old & new users) was fishing for him by creating articles.
Im going to be torn between two great platforms. I will try to equally distribute my time. Right now I'm splitting the day in half by morning and night. I will read from my friends here and there. Also will write on both. I'm not a huge fan of recycling articles so you won't see that from me.
After thoughts
It's good to meet goals, better to exceed, and awesome to crush them. I think I will definitely exceed my goal with my delivery driving. The remaining days are much busier days than those at the beginning of the week.
Take care and be safe. Love you all ❤️
